Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

Hmm, let's see '04
Brake Judder, rotors turned twice then replaced with new design, still running that set up and work great at 135,000
Trans coolant hoses leaking
Replaced both exhaust manifolds (cracked) warranty at 90k thanks Nissan!
Replace both rear axle seals (leaking)
Now at 135,00 runs great, looks great. I love the truck and I guess I have been lucky.

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

04 @ 30k+-

front brake judder
front passenger seat tilt adjustment
rear seatbelt recall 2x

other than those items 0 issues. i have noticed rust in spots as well as some plastic parts starting to show wear. something a good detail would get rid of for sure.

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

04 CC 4X4 Off Road 81K Miles

Brakes & Rotors replaced by dealer at 40k miles (Free). No probrems after replaced.

Brake Booster went out at 60K miles. Covered under extended warranty.

My spray in bedliner is now starting to bubble. (Any suggestions?)

This has been the best truck I have ever owned.

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

Brakes, TransferCase, Rearend (within 1st 12,000 miles) now my body control module is acting up, and I have a white bed liner, but they're out of warranty so I'm just dealing with it.

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

I'll add to the mix,

- Thermometer reads ---
- Severe brake judder
- Weird electrical problems (every light comes on HVAC lights go off at random)
- Reverse sensors don't work
- Air bag light is crazy
- And the best part... I'm stationed in germany away from any real dealer support

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

Brake judder is the only major thing ever happened with my Titan.
Dealer took care of it and it was great afterward.

Re: List your Titans Mechanical Failures

2005 CC SE 4x4, 30k miles.

Failures:

1 radiator cap
1 rear sonar buzzer module

Defects:

Brake judder @ 3k miles, dealer replaced pads and rotors. Now at 30k miles, no judder and a lot of pad left (I could probably make it to at least 60k on the pads)

TSBs:

Aux cooler fan - Excessive noise. Add felt to hold fan snug in the mounts and not rattle while in operation

Recalls:

Aux cooler fan wiring, not affected but partially upgraded while they were in there.

Nothing else pops into my head. All things considered it's the best vehicle I've owned (and I've owned a lot). The only other vehicle that comes close is the '97 Ram 2500 Cummins diesel I had. 176k miles and I only had to fix 3 things, each one took 15 mins tops and < $100 in parts to fix, including the water pump. If my Titan was totalled today and I had to replace it with something I would have a very hard time choosing between another Titan and another Cummins Ram with a manual trans.
