I've had a few issues with my 05, the brakes within the first year and everything else in the last four months, I still love the truck but it gets old going back and forth to the dealer six or seven times in four months. It usually takes two trips for each issue, one trip to diagnose the problem and the second after the parts come in. You would think they would keep common failed parts like air flow sensors in stock.
Brakes
Vent control valve
Both Manifolds
Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor

So I'm new to this forum and ive had my share of repairs over the 2 years I've had my truck also...Here they are.
1. Changed the Driveshaft (I guess this is very common)
2. Replaced leaking rear axle seals
3. Replaced broken rod in rear differential
4. Has a Vapour gas leak and needs to go on the smoke machine(Still service engine light is on)
5. Driver window has a mind of its own it goes up all the way when it hits the top it comes back down half way then have to put it up slowly to close.
6. Replaced Brakes to newer 05 design and still having occational problems with the Abs turning on for no reason in dry conditions.
7. Replaced front wheel bearings (Both)
8. Replaced MAF sensor
In conclusion i would like to say i really like the truck but im very disapointed in Nissan i really expected more from this company. I have a Ford F150 also and that thing is Built Ford tough no problems at all. The titan has way too much power and torque for its drivetrain and in my opinion a very poor design.
I agree with the rest of the people on here that Nissan should definatly recall the trucks for the brake issues i find it a real safety concern. When my abs turns on the brakes stop working properly and starts studdering and have to turn it off then back on while driving....very sad for a 2004
Gonna be selling mine very soon..has left big hole in my wallet.
brakes
transfer case failure
rear end failure
both manifolds
radiator leak
and just this FRIDAY!!!!........................................ .................................................. ......ENGINE failure!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, radiator exploded and engine siezed. cyl went from 200 to 150 psi. 1 mo. out of warranty. if they don't fix this, they're gonna get it. prob due to ac condenser leakin into my engine and caused extreme overheating. called nissan north america and demanded a new engine.

I just purchased a 2004 Titan in Dec. Has 77,000 miles. I have one thing happen since I have had it and I wonder if this has happened to anyone else.
My windows will be down after I have left the truck alone for awhile. This has happened twice now. Not sure why.
Can anyone help me on this?

Hello again everybody...
I had this happen to me one time as well. Turns out on our keyless entry fobs there is a "handy" feature where you can roll down your windows by pushing the unlock button quickly twice, holding it on the second push. In my case the fob was in my wife's purse and had been activated by hitting something in there. You might check that before you take it to a mechanic. Hope this helps.

08 with 7,000 miles
1. Tires threw weights twice, wicked shimmy due to unbalance, not really a mechanical failure.
2. Tranny mount broke and replaced.
3. Fuel pump took a dump and replaced.
But I still love my damn truck!

My 05 had brake judder at 1500 miles and a noisy serpentine belt over the last 38 months. I personally change the engine oil/filter every six months and check the trans/differential fluid annually. I still have the original differential fluid in it. Believe it or not, but I don't have one rattle in the cab or outside the cab. I should disclose that my Titan is approaching 15,000 total miles as of today...

Brakes at 45K (they did judder but were wore out)
Oil and oil filter every 3K
One set of tires
One battery
One windshield (hit by a rock)
One turn signal lightbulb
I love this truck and so far has been my most reliable vehicle.

1. evap switch over the gas tank
2. replaced both my rear axle seals
3. passenger side window motor and switch
4. hi/low-reverse switch in my transmission control module
5. replaced the ipdm-er
6. replaced both manifolds
7. replaced all the shocks, coil springs and leaf springs (the truck was always leaning to one side)
To do list:
8. I'm about to do the rear axle-vent mod tomorrow
9. I might do the front final drive this summer.. hopefully it won't be the whole differential that I have to replace. Hopefully it's just an axle
10. IPT master kit for the tranny and a new torque converter.
11. The knocking noise coming from the air-conditioner
I guess I'm going to have to keep the Titan after getting acquainted with it so well. lol
That front final drive is going to kill me. I can tell...
