BTW, we typically just ask people if $100 over invoice is okay, because it saves us and them a bunch of paperwork. Usually they say okay.

Need a new Nissan? In the Indy area?
Come see me at Ed Martin Nissan!! Ask for Kyle!
i think(maybe im wrong) that most people have the impression that i beat the 300 below invoice out of a dealer. not so. in fact, that was his first offer. and all i told the other dealers was that 300 below was my best offer so i was going with that. most said thanks and good luck, others tried to get close but no cigar. i had no intentions of trying to get anybody to go lower. the lowest offer i got was the one i took and thats what i stated up front. no bs, just honesty. the reason for this is to see what the market in my area is bearing as far as prices are concearned. in my area(missouri) the best offer may have been 500 over and thats what i would have taken, but it wasnt and so i got a better deal. the other offers were for in the 200 to 600 over invoice range. not too bad either. just not 300 below. if theyre gonna offer it im gonna take it every time.
If you live in the NE the easiest way to get the best price is by visiting us.
Hello everyone. After reviewing this thread I wanted to see if I could help save some future Titan purchasers money. If you live in the Northeast, we are located 15 minutes north of NYC. Please call or e-mail me with any inquiries regarding the vehicle.
I thought this would be worth while to add even though it was not my idea. I am a Ford guy so the FX4 store was my first stop. After the Ford dealer tried to sell me their 6000 mile demo unit for the same price as a new truck it solidified my notion that I should look at the Titon. When I told the Ford dealer this he said that I should take a new F150 4door FX4 to the Nissan dealership so I could compare the two. I agreed and boy did that get some looks at Nissan when I pulled up. Anyway, between them not wanting me to buy the Ford I was driving and March possibly being the end of a fiscal quarter they made me a great deal that Ford could not touch. It was definatly below invoice. I still like the F150 looks and interior but my new CC 4x4 Titon has side curtain air bags, heated seats, heated mirrors, and things I am still learning about. So far I love it.
We had been shopping for 6 months for a truck.I had to much Negitive Equity to get a used one and used ones are still real expensive. We Bought a base model Nissan Titan. It was Cheaper than a f-150,cheaper than dodge, chevy, toyota full size and cheaper than the new colorado from chevy. It was only 2k more than a frontier crew cab.
We did our research and it is by far the best bang for the buck.We got our finacing approved and shopped around.I called a few dealers after my local dealer wouldn't discount a base model but would give me low book on my car(4k upside down on).I looked on the net and found a base model the color we wanted an hour away.I called the dealer and asked if he wanted to give me more than my car was worth and discount his truck.he called me back 15 min later and met my offer out the door.He said it was making $200.00 on the deal.I just told him to make some on someone else becasue if i came down there and it was .01 more than i said i would leave.I got there and was very happy with what i got for my car ect.

LOL.
When I test drove the Titan I pulled into a Ford dealership to see how the Titan looked next to the new F150.

What dealership did you get it at? How much under invoice?
For a great deal go to north bay nissan if you are in cali pluckew got a great dela, and after his help so did I, Ask for only keith, and the guy is great and will hook you up nice(this comiong from someone who hates dealing with car dealerships)
I went and bought a Titan king cab SE. It has the utility bed, tow package and the power package (Radio controls on steering wheel, mirror with home link and auto dim and compass and temp, leather wrapped steering wheel, power pedals, six disc radio and they tinted the front windows with the solar tint. The sticker was for 29094.00. I bought it for 24757 +ttl.
As far as going straight to the negotiations. If I am buying a new vehicle I know what I want. Hell, I knew more about the Titan than most of the salesmen. I went straight to to negotiations. It helpls to have what Nissan calls Tier one credit. They knew if they did not sell me the truck then I could go down the road and buy the same one. I love the truck. As far as what 70boss said "If you like the truck then you got a good deal." lol just kidding
I liked the truck before I bought it, but I still wanted the best deal.
I know some one that owns a dealership, not Nissan. He told me straight out. The salesman cannot show you the true invoice, they will get fired. The owner of the dealership cannot show you the true invoice, if they do and the parent company (Nissan for example) finds out they can take the owners lisence to sell their cars. The true invoice is quiet a bit less than the dealers invoice they show you. They can make that invoice say what they want. I know the owners and salesman will deny this statement and say I am a liar. Like I said, I know the owner and am good friends with him. He has no reason to lie to me regarding this. And on top of that, the dealer will make at least 3% off every vehicle sold at invoice. If this is not the case how did I get over 4000.00 off sticker. The dealer ship said that Nissan is not marked up as much as the compeditors. BS alert if they tell you this.

Your right about that. 3% is a fairly typical figure for dealer holdback. Also, it seems to typically be based on MSRP of the vehicle, not the actual sale price.
Hey ben95m, I bought my truck from David McDavid Nissan on the Gulf Freeway. Ask for Ike. I think the people on this msg board know more about the trucks than he does but he did work well with us, no pressure, and got us a good price. Also check with the Nissan dealership in Conroe. Not sure of their name but I drove past on the way out of town last weekend and they had a lot of Titans on their lot. May want to move some.

May I ask what kind of deal Ike gave you (how much under/over invoice or msrp). I plan on visiting/calling several dealers this weekend.
