signs of brake problems

what are some of the early warning signs of brake problems? I have an 05 xe with about 2300 miles now and I am starting to feel some things in the brake pedal and have noticed it is beginning to take more pressure to get it to stop.

I just dropped off my 05 Titan KC SE 4x4 (Build Date 1/05 - Purchased 5/05) with just under 2500 miles at my local dealer for brake issues - the steering wheel was shaking/vibrating when braking from high speeds (above 25 mph) - it's not that noticeable when braking below 25 mph.

I asked about getting the permanant fix - they said they had the parts when I called last week - so we'll see what I get. Their story line was that if the rotors can be machined and still be above the min thickness that is what they will do - they were "directed" by nissan to only install the new kit when the thickness was below the limit.

I would check into the latest TSB for that, from what I believed if the parts is in stock they are supposed to changed it and not turn the rotors anymore.

Well I just got the phone call from the dealership.

They replaced the front pads and rotors (with what they called "the new fix"). For the rear, they replaced the pads and turned the rotors.

I thought the new fix was new pads and rotors (front and back).

Did I just get part of the fix? Or is this the latest "new" fix?
