Ipm went down, paid 442.00 to fix it, why??

I just had my IPM fixed last week and paid too much money for it. I am very upset about this. I don't understand how it could of gone out this early?? I bought my Titan brand new in 2005 and only have 40,000 miles on it right now. What possible reason could of caused my IPM to burn out this fast and this soon?? And why da hell is it not covered under warranty?? Please shine some light on this.

I honestly think I shouldn't of had to pay for this problem.

Mine went out at about the same time. Paid $110 for the part and replaced it for myself. you paid for the part and 2 hours of labor that took them 10 minutes to replace.

Sorry about the charge not covered by warranty. As for it going out at 40,000 miles mine went out before the truck had 1000 miles on it and it was towed to the dealer.It was obviously replaced under warranty and after that my 08 SE, KC, BT has been relatively trouble free. I might hold the record for the earliest IPDM failure. The truck actually quit and was towed around 650 miles but the dealer misdiagosed the problem. The 2nd time it occurred around 1100 miles I told them to keep the truck but they called Nissan tech and fortunately found the problem and corrected it.
