Third after I start it, it will not come out of park stuck in gear. Last but not least when i hook up my new scanner it keeps saying please hook up to OBD but works fine on other vehicles. Sounds fried but try the reset. Don't just disconnect the battery because it is not always the best bet with this case. Socal put in a nice link so you can do it. Dealer will charge you up the a**. Good luck!

Other symptoms it's exhibiting do point to low voltage or amperage situations. When my batt went belly up last week, it was still barely turning over and would start, but the needles sat there and jumped for a second and the trip ODO reset, until the alternator gave it enough voltage/amperage to work properly. If he's got a double problem of a batt that's given up because an alternator isn't properly charging it, there wouldn't be a recovery to the system from the alternator making up the shortfall of power needed. Make sense?
