Re: question about ipdm relays

iv had the same problem for a month now. i have been researching a posible way to get my only transportation back. I phoned the service advisor as soon as i saw that some of you have just been shipped the part.. i told him to replace the IPDM. his response was what is that and what does it do? so now im really screwed, I know more about this ****ty nissan than the service guys do. I loved my truck until now. Wait this seems to be a reoccuring problem i had many warrenty covered issues. rear diff, brakes, windo regulators, exhaust manifolds, ... whats next. me selling this lemon, buying a ford, at least the service knows how to fix the only truck they sell. good job nissan. you will lose 1000's of repeat customers.

Re: question about ipdm relays

Alot depends on if your dealer has escalated your order to the highest priority. If they did not VOR the part, you will not be seeing it anytime soon, probably not till next week or further.
Call your dealer, and make sure they Customer Cared the order (This involves providing Nissan with the VIN Number)

Re: question about ipdm relays

Is it pretty much a given that the IPDM will fail.

I have an '04 with 95,000 miles. Should I expect it to fail soon?

I have not had any of the electrical problems listed in this thread.

Re: question about ipdm relays

I ordered mine yesterday and it was $181 CAD. Stuff is a little more expensive up here, so probably $100 or so in the states.

Re: question about ipdm relays

They told me it was on back-order. One to six weeks until it arrives Good thing mine isn't totally dead yet. It is intermittent and I still can swap relays if need be.

Re: question about ipdm relays

They are on restricted release, but it looks like they are shipping them out to dealerships. Should be completely clear next week.
