Can someone tell me WTF is going on with my Procomp 6" lift

Hey guys

Listen, i have a procomp 6" lift, 22" wheels with 305/50 nitto terragraplers. My front swaybar endlink brackets always break. I have like 2 extra because they break so often, its really getting old.

Well today i heard the usual clanking from the sway bar and thought "well time to replace the bracket again." This time the bracket broke AND the metal tab that comes off the lower control arm is broken too. SO now it looks like im going to need a new lower control arm also.

Does anyone else have this problem? Im thinking about just taking the sway bar right off to end this BS. As a side note, its ALWAYS the drivers side that breaks. And i do no offroading whatsoever.

I got too much sway w/o it until after I installed SAW's so I took it off within a couple weeks of installing them and the ride is awesome now.

Pics would be nice. Are you sure they're installed correctly? The ProComp endlinks are kinda tricky to install in the correct configuration. I am betting that the parts are hitting on the spindles steering stop as well.

Does it look like this?

like POPS said ... get some SAW's and ditch that sway bar!! I do have some PRG extended length end links (that I would be willing to sell) if you want to keep the anti-sway bar

I really need to get some SAW's too. I hate my anti-sway bar. Mine hasn't broken anything, but it clunks around enough to be very annoying.

the first time my endlink bracket broke my sway bar went through my CV boot. what a joke, luckily nissan was nice enough to replace it under warranty for me.

You don't need a new LCA, just have a muffler shop weld the tab back in place. You can grind the steering stops off of the spindle if you want to, that should help a little. Do you have the Stage 1 or Stage 2 kit? If you have aftermarket coilovers, you can ditch the swaybar and links completely and be just fine.

Yea i might just get it welded, use my new bracket as a jig for the guys at a shop. I have the stage 1 i believe as it has the stock coilovers with the spacer on top. are the SAW's by PRG the most cost effective set of coilovers i can get? I saw on the site there is a set of radflo/icon for 899 that is front and back. i could use new rears as well, but im not sure if this fits my truck with it being lifted. I really dont want to buy new upper control arms either. here is the kit i saw.

Those won't fit.... You should get some that are for "Bracket Lifted Trucks". These are what you need:

PRG Products

PRG Products

The Bilstein and Icon for the rear are only $180-$198.

PRG Products

I'd call Greg to ask if there's better pricing available if you buy the front + rear shocks together.

Re: Can someone tell me WTF is going on with my Procomp 6" lift

I had the same problem for about 2 years.. I went through about 15 endlinks... Both side would break, one at a time. It wasnt just the driver side like yours....

Finally when my tab broke off like yours, I made a drive down to PRG's old place and picked up a set of CST sway bar links for $80. I heard so much good about them and noticed they dont even use the tab that broke off.

Since then, I have been the happiest person alive... The ride is a mess without a sway bar, even with my Pro Comp stage 2 coil overs.. So far its been about 4 months.. I can FINALLY off road, tow and drive in peace with out a sway bar worry in the world

You need to get some good coilovers from PRG the pro comp ones are trash i had them before my Radflos it's day and night then you dont need the sway bar and dont need to buy some CST end links
