hey guys, i have a 05 2wd SE king cab, and love it to death. and i've had it close to 2 years now and have wanted to lift it since day one. problem is i currently dont have the $ to put on a nice suspension lift like i want. so a buddy of mine sugested a block lift so i figured i'd try that. i want to do about a 4 inch block lift to get a good high rise look, but im worried about putting the blocks on the front too. i've been told they dont recommend that so my question is would that be ok to put 4 inch blocks front and back, or try to settle for a more expensive leveling kit??

thanks so much guys!
I personally don't know of any 4" blocks for the front, for the rear yes. Since you are 2wd your options would be 1.5" - 3" spacers that mount on top of the front strut. You also have the 4" spindle ($889 from PRG) that CST makes for our trucks which replaces our stock spindles and adds longer brake lines. There are others out there. The front spacers give you a little more clearance to run larger tires. I have a 2.5" daystar spacer and that has caused my front shocks to fail. Remember the ride with a spacer is ok but when hitting bumps and dips you will feel it. Cheap is good but I would invest in something good. If you want 4", I would go with the 4" spindles. this will also give you the option to go bigger in the future and believe most people always do once they start lifting their trucks. Check out PRG products. Greg is a great guy with an unfathomable amount of knowledge on our trucks because he drives and owns one himself. Good luck!
I think the people that told you not to put blocks in the front were talking about trucks with a straight front axle. The Titan does not have a straight front axle we have independent front suspension. You can add a coilover spacer which is a leveling kit and the make you can get out of one of those is 2.5" with the rough country kit that comes with the upper control arms. Other than that if you want higher your looking at suspension lifts which or 1000 bucks plus.

hey thanks so much to both you guys that helps alot. the only thing im really conserned about is the money issue. i looked at maybe doin the front spindles you were talking about but to be honest the price is a little too steep. but kind of taking ideas from both you two, would it be ok to put 4 inch blocks in the back, and have large spacers in the front? and if so what spacers and be the right size to make it level with the 4 inch blocks in the back?

Nothing will make it even with the back if you put 4 inch blocks back there, unless you get coilovers and 2.5 inch leveling kit up front but coilovers are out of your budget im guessing. Maybe youd be interested in a body 3 inch body lift, not my style but might be yours. You could get a 2.5 inch leveling kit up front, 2 inch block in the rear and a 3 inch body lift for pretty cheap and then youd have 5 inches of lift all around.

haha sry this is such a hassel
No you cant do 4 inch blocks in the front.
Get the PRG mini lift 2.5 front and 2 inch block in the back. Its 250$ last time I checked. I think a body lift is like 300$ ( someone correct me if im wrong) so 550 for parts but I couldnt give you an estimation on install

You may want to put on a front leveling kit ($80-$190) and a body lift which can go up to 3" I believe and can be had for just a couple hundred dollars.
thank ya very much this helps a ton. obviously i dont know too much about my truck, one for not having it very long and also the money issue haha. but i could prolly do 550 or so. parents wont like it very much but im hopin it'll be a maybe. but could i possibly do more to lift it? i know you said with that mini lift and such id get about 5 inches right?

Yea mini lift and body lift would get you 5.5 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back. I dont know what else you could do for a budget lift

yes, that would be the 2.5 mini lift and a 3" body lift. If you don't mind showing parts of the trucks body then go with the body lift. It looks good on some trucks and some, it really does not match at all. Way cheaper than going suspension, mostly for looks and additional ground clearance. Since $$$ is your concern, I would do that setup.
sweeet this sounds really good. im so stoaked to see about purchasing this. now that i have my mind made up basically, where would be the best place to get all this? i've heard alot about this guy "greg" and that he's basically a genious when it comes to this titan stuff. maybe talkin to him he could direct me to a good spot? or maybe just you could help or have ideas. you've been a hell of a help so far!

Greg is the owner of PRG. Thats the place I told you to get your mini-lift from. The mini-lift is a kit that comes with a 2.5 leveling kit up front and a 2 inch block for the rear. Theres more variations to the kit from him but thats the one you want. As for the body lift not sure who makes the best one and such, but heres one in your price range.
