Is anyone running the rear 2.5 King shocks?

I talked to the King guys over at the Off Road Expo recently and they said their 2.5 rear piggyback shock for the titan has a 10.6 inch stroke. Is this comparable to the SAW's that are offered by Greg? Minus the custom valving of corse...

Any thoughs on these? They do want a pretty penny for them though... ~750 if I remember right.

I would call Greg but I have been bugging him a lot lately about the MT kit and don't wanna stress him out lol

So I am assuming the Kings are better than the SAWS and Radflo, right?

Yes it would work perfect with the MT kit as long as you are running shock hoops. I would definitely have Greg valve them like you said too. $750 is pretty cheap too. I paid $1000 for my 10" Radflos that I'm running on my MT kit.

Re: Is anyone running the rear 2.5 King shocks?

hes talking about rear shocks not front shocks.

The kings your talking about have a .25" wider shock body and slightly thicker shafts. They also mount the resivoir differently. So I guess they're more heay duty but i doubt you would notice much difference between then SAW's and Kings except price for what they can handle.

Greg can get the kings for you, as well as radflos and SAWs. Plus he'll custom valve them.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes $750 is very pricy. They are not that much better than the SAWs or Radflos.

Cadillac compared to chevy?? These are more then likely the pre run series and no better then a SAW, Radflo, or Fox. IMHO I would get SAW or Radflos, 750 for some rear shocks that even the best driver wouldnt notice a difference in is crazy. ALL big brand shocks are on the same level pick the color you like.

The only thing extra that your getting for $750 is the "KING" emblem. And that ugly blue I guess. LOL

Re: Is anyone running the rear 2.5 King shocks?

The Kings are really good shocks far as reliability goes...but far as performance the valving is EVERYTHING...Somebody has to have ran the shocks thru their paces, revalved and ran them again, repeating this process over and over again...

This is were Greg @ PRG makes a difference, he has thousands of miles of multi-valving changes (SAW's and Radflo's) that he's logged to come up with a better ride AND dirt performance... and he keeps tweaking the valve stack...I'm not sure how much time he's spent dialing in the Kings...
