Re: Rough Country 3" Level kit

With my Bilsteins preloaded to 1" or some may argue that its 3/4" she rides nice. Not too firm at all, good quality controlled ride.

I'm an 08.5 4x4 SE.

I have front and rear Bilsteins 5100's coming. Already have the 1.5" PRG leveling kit and 1" blocks for the rear.

What I plan on doing in the front. This will give me about 1" of lift all the way around.
- Front Bilstein 5100 (preload 1") + PRG 1.5" leveling kit + PRG UCA + PRG new End Links.
- Rear Bilstein 5100's + PRG 1" block.

Other option I'm thinking of is getting 1"-2" all the way around.
- Front Bilstein 5100 (preload 0") + PRG 2.0" leveling kit + PRG UCA + PRG new End Links.
- Rear Bilstein 5100's + PRG 1.5" block.

The question I have for the folks that have set the preloads on the Bilsteins 5100s. How is the ride set on position 1? (positions are 0, 1, 2)

From what I read, the 0" setting lifts 1/2" and the 1" setting lifts 1.5", and the 2" setting, (which I would guess is 2.5" of lift), is the one with the poor ride.

Re: Rough Country 3" Level kit

That could be the correct numbers. Thanks NorCal.

Will running a lift make it harder to change out your own shocks? This would be my first lifted vehicle, so i'm kinda new to any changes to suspension.

Instead of the 1.5" block for the rear could someone go with say the PRG Deaver Titan C-30 3-Leaf Spring Pack + PRG rear shackle to bring it down a bit ?

You could go that route. But remember, C30 lift is higher than the C10. I've actually thought about this route as well instead of blocks.

C10 gives 2.5" lift on 4wd and 1.5" on 2wd
C30 gives 3.5" lift on 4wd and 2.5" on 2wd

Shackles can be set for 0", .5" or 1" drop.

C10, 4wd + PRG Rear Shackles drop 1" = 1.5" of lift
C10, 2wd + PRG Rear Shackles drop 1" = .5" of lift

C30, 4wd + PRG Rear Shackles drop 1" = 2.5" of lift
C30, 2wd + PRG Rear Shackles drop 1" = 1.5" of lift
