I am planning on starting with the PRG Mini-Lift on my 07 CC 2x4 next month, but I am looking to the future as I know I will want to go bigger. I see alot of people going with either the procomp or fabtech 6 inch lifts, but after reading a little on PRG's website I see they off a kit that offers up to 8 inches of front lift using spindles and coilovers (PRG Products). Is there a recommendation going either direction?! I am not sure how much I will be off road considering I am 2wd, but I plan on playing a little bit. As poser at it sounds, I like the look of a titan rolling on 35in tires. Any suggestions? Will towing be really sacrificed with these setups? These are really newb questions I know...THANKS!
David

If you are a 2wd, the bracket style lifts (i.e. ProComp, Fabtech, etc.) is the LAST direction you want to go. Go for any of these packages: PRG Products

54 warrior is right, a bracket lift wouldnt be your best choice, if i was you, i would go with a spindle lift. i would get the extended travel spindle lift if i was you. i think it gets you like 8" of lift, plus you get alot more ground clearance, unlike a bracket lift

great advise. I read over and over on this forum about what way to lift my T and I am glad I did. I started out basic with the CST spindles, Bilstein adjustable struts up front set to +2 and a 4 inch block in the rear. Next phase of my suspension will be Deaver C30's in the rear with a 3 inch block, PRG Upper Control Arms and sway-a-way 2.5 coilovers in the front. This should give me 8 inches of suspension travel. A lot of people don't like block lifts, but I am also going to be installing a 3 inch BL. I only do light off-roading, so I am not worried about any negatives from the BL.

The bracket lifts are really about the only way to lift a 4x4 because the front diff housing has to be dropped down a little. This is where your 4x2 has it's advantage because you can go with 54warrior's suggestion and gain way more true ground clearance than we can with a 4x4.
