Titan Lowering Kit

Heya guys. I wanted to get an idea of what people around here would want in a lowering kit.

Please choose the drop amount that you would most likely be interested in purchasing. The drop amount are not exact, they could change, like a Dodge Ram can only do a 3/5 before the rear axle hits the frame. Don't know what the exact drops will be on the Titan, yet.

None!!! I'd go 2"-4" body drop, monster notch in the rear, custom fab crossmember and A arms in the front and bag that thing. Nuttin like tuckin 22's. I used to design and build custom minitrucks for east coast minis and would love to slam this beast. just not mine. If I had the $$$ I'd buy another one just to be a project truck and do it.

Where's the option for a 6", 8" or 10" lift? Lower it? Sorry dude, but that's not my taste. You couldn't pay me enough to lower the thing, and if I did, you'd have to darken the windows enough so people don't recognize me in it. Good luck w/the kits, but I doubt you'll find too many people on this board that are lookin to drop their trucks.

Why thank you for your opinion Dan. This thread probably would have been better off without you assuming what people do or do not like though.

Seems there are a few people on this board that would rather lower than lift. I was not expecting there to be many, since most people here seem to be more in areas that see "bad" weather.

Seems people would be more interested in a mild lowering kit. Atleast, of the few that have voted.

Didn't know I couldn't voice an opinion w/o gettin ripped on. There have been pics posted of lowered Titans, and only a couple have liked the look, so it's not so much of an assumption as fact, as observed from previous posts. Seems that I was right, only 5 have voted to lower. Don't give me any lip huh? Just makin a post bro.

My only concern with lowering the rear, eliminating the rake, would be sag when I pull my 4000lb. trailer. Right now it sits perfectly level with the trailer. I have not seen any pictures of lowered Titans. I would be interested in checking them out.

Are there any pics of a less extreme drop? I can't find any. I think a 4" front drop, 6" rear and 24" rims would make possibly the sweetest Titan ever!!

I haven't seen any Titans that have been lowered other than the link that I posted, although, I don't read any mags that would have pics of lowered vehicles.

Yeah, I have never understood "lowering" a truck, but if it makes a man happy - more power to em. Of course, my wife wonders why I have a strange urge to lift every truck. I am big into older Jeep's, of course, those are really the only vehicle I cringe when I see 20's and sparks flying.

A little bit of insight for you -

I live in Southern California. I got my Titan KC 2WD because I am constantly finding myself needing hauling capacity for things. Goto the store and actually buy 8' 2x4s now instead of having to get them cut to 4' lenght to shove into a VW Jetta.

I also have friends that own motorcycles, quads and off-road bikes. We all pile up and roll out for a day of fun with those toys. So, the towing capacity of the Titan is awsome for helping transit the toys and having the full bed lenght allows me to haul in the bed rather than loading a trailer, or seems they love to do both and watch me blast past the friends F150 SuperCrew.

I am 23 and dont want to afford the costs and isurence of a 4x4. Also, I am not really into the total off-road type experience. I like to race cars though, autocross and tracke use. So, the Titan works perfectly because I will be getting a car trailler and towing the soon to arrive 350Z to track events and autox's. Allows me to take tools/tires/stuff and to break/blow up and not worry about how to get home.

With the truck being my daily driver and living in urban SoCal, handeling and street driving are primary. With this in mind a 4/6 drop on strong 22" wheels with load rated 305/45/22 tires will be perfect. Improves handeling for daily use and dosent sacrifice any of the load capabilities of the truck.

Also, will make those 110 Mph blasts out to Vegas with four people more toleable since I cant fit 4 people and luggage in a 350Z.

I would love to see a Titan lowered a bit (not slammed) on 22's, but after 10 years of slammed mini-truckin' and lifted pre-runnin', I'm staying stock. It's not worth the suspension problems, hassles and unwanted attention to me. That's just my thing though, been there, done that. It would be great for someone to do a 5"/7" drop, but these days, it's just better off with air ride.

If anyone does a realistic (meaning daily drivable!) drop w/ their Titan, let us know! I'd be curious to see it.

I think a small lowering kit would be nice for the titan. I had a 2/3 on my 01 chevy and still pulled a big boat and hauled a 4 wheeler around and it rode fine. You do need to use the best lowering kit to make sure you get the same quality ride.

I got you Speed-Freak...I know what you mean, I live in OC to and want to do the same, lower IT!! Whats the point of lifting a truck around here if you'll never even go offroading . I'm looking to throw some 22's on mine, and lower, but I also have the same concern of the sag in the baCK when I pull my jet ski"s. Know anywhere to get deals on 22's with tires?
