Re: 2"-3" drop spindles
I know this thread is old. I like to search before posting. I usually find my answer.
Will the 2" drop spindles work on a 4x4?
What mods are required with 2" drop spindles?Stock 4x4 coil springs staying in place. I understand the front geometry remains the same with spindles. The reason for choosing them over drop springs. However, Any mods required to the inner fenders?
What size wheels are required to work with a 2 inch drop spindle? I assume 20".
I have rear ADF drop shackles. The stock junk shackle broke and went through the bed.
I plan to put 2" drop linear leaf springs on the rear too. So a total of a 3 inch drop in the rear.
Please don't bash because it is a 4x4. I need 4x4 to get up my mountain road in snow. I don't want a lifted truck and I don't need a lifted or stock height truck. My mom has trouble getting in my truck as it is, so lowering it a couple inches will help her. Plus I prefer the sport truck look.
05 4x4 CC, Bully Dog GT, SS nerf bars, OEM fogs, ADF drop shackles. Had an Undercover tonneau until a wind storm tore it off (left unlatched)! Latch your tonneau cover!
Hopeful future installs: 2-3 inch drop, 18" Vision Warrior wheels, Kenwood 9140 with backup cam', Magnaflow Y collector and Magnaflow 22" or 24" with side branch resonator to prevent drone. I'd like another tonneau cover too.
