Anyone have "softer" shocks-smoother ride??

Has anyone found any shocks that take some of the jitterness out of the Titan?Yeah,it is a truck, but I suspect that some shocks tuned with less damping-comp and rebound-might let the wheels follow the surface a bit better, especially expansion joints on concrete highways,or on rough roads in general.
I used to think trucks had to have a stiff, and bumpy ride to compensate for load carrying capacity, but the payload on some Titans is so low(1100+ lbs) it is really in the car range-5 adults can weigh 1100 lbs,and I would bet there are plenty of cars that can carry about 1100 lbs of people.
Anyone know of anyone who makes-or brags about-making a truck ride like a car??Charlie

I thought the payload was 1640, what model has 1100?

Let me tell you also that that is a conservative number for saftey issues. I loaded my truck up with about 1000lbs in the bed and five people inside and couldn't even feel it. Braking, handling, and acceleration were all excellent over a 500+ mile drive, part of which was thru mountains.

Sorta like the 200lbs limit on the tailgate. I wish Nissan would revaluate these numbers, because they definately don't seem right.

Yeah 200lbs my arss. I think they meant 200lbs while driving cause of the increased load while going over bumps and such. I've had 3 adult males sitting on my tailgate at one time and didn't think twice about breaking anything. It's a friggin tailgate, people are supposed to sit on it and jump on it, that's what truck are for.

LE CC 4X4 has lowest payload-very conservative.

The XE KC 4x2(my stripped truck) has the biggest payload 1640.
The LE CC 4X4 is the one that is just under 1200 lbs-a pretty small payload for a big truck..It is about 530 lbs heavier than the XE KC 4X2.
I agree that it is very, very conservative. For short distances,I wouldn't have any qualms about carrying 2000+lbs.I put that much in my tiny Toyota Tacoma-a load of river sand that sunk it to the bumpstops.Charlie PS BIG PLATINUM,I think your payload is 1400 and change. The manual doesn't show the actual payload, you have to check the tag on the side of the drivers door to get an exact #.

Payload

I hauled pea gravel Saturday for a french drain I was installing. Three loads, 1.3 tons, 1.4 tons, and .89 tons. Each was weighed at the supply yard. None of these loads even put the bumper stops down on the rear axle, the 1.4 was about two inches away, however. I only went about ten blocks on two lane roads, but the truck didn't strain, and never bottomed out! That is much more than the recommended load limit, but makes one wonder what it would take to fully load this truck.

2800 lbs,not surprised

KYDEEPWATER,2800 lbs and no complaints, not surprised, they are sprung pretty stiff. When it gets cooler I am going to get some river sand, and since the price is per load,I will have them just fill it.I'm only 2 miles from the batture sandpit, good to know it can take it.Thanks,Charlie PS I expect we will now get a well intended warning about the"danger, warranty" downside of the overloading.
