So the truck is making a funny noise and you thought the rear end was going to blow up, but yet you kept driving until your hub failed. Now you have other broken parts because you shouldn't have kept driving once you knew something was wrong. A hub costs less than $200, and I'm sure your repair will cost a lot more than that. Blame your truck all you want, but you have a big lift with 37"s, so stuff wears out faster, and if you would have paid attention to the symptoms then it would have been a quick and easy fix. That same issue could happen with any make of vehicle if you keep driving when you suspect something is wrong.

thanks, but maybe i should have been more clear. It started making noise in the neighborhood. I only drove maybe another 100 to 200 feet slowly to figure out what it was and then it went boom. also I know things are going to wear out but the amount of hubs and wheel studs this truck goes through is rediculous.

Its not normal to be going through hubs, something else is wrong. There are people on here that beat on their trucks in the desert with 35" - 37" tires and are still using their original hubs.

thank you ! I know it isnt un heard of for one to go bad but for it to just straight break off !?! the last 2 hub issues I had was 1 the bearing went out or something because it was wobbly, and the other got messed up when the tire shop didnt torque my wheels and it pulled the studs and wallowed the holes out.
I have no idea what could be wrong though ? I have replaced everything under the truck and it is currently holding a good alignment except for I need to buy some prg cam bolts and lca bushings. I doubt that would cause this many problems though.

Myself and my 2 other buddies who own Titans have all replaced front hubs on our trucks. One of my buddies had a catastrophic failure of the hub and he didn't even notice until it blew up like you had happen. He got lucky and all it cost him was a new hub, CV axle and a tow truck bill. Mine was howling pretty bad and I had it changed a few months back. All the trucks were right around the 100k mile mark when hubs failed. Anyway, I agree that 10k miles is definitely premature for a hub failure. I didn't mean to sound like a dink, but really hubs are wear and tear items, and with a lift you blow them out faster. Was the hub that failed an OEM hub that you already replaced, was it an aftermarket part, or does your truck only have 10k on it? Are you sure it was installed properly?

I dont know what brand the hub is. I had a problem with 4 wheel parts a while back and when they lifted my truck they did not tighten my caliper on the right side. It fell off while I was driving, and I drove the truck into a ditch to avoid a crash. they towed it, and replaced the caliper, rotors, abs, as well as a rim and tire because the caliper scratched the inside of mine so I raised hell and they ordered me a new one. Anyways they were supposed to replace the hub, I dont think they did. So that hub went out maybe 6 months down the road and I made them foot the bill because the hub should have had a warranty. But they could not prove to me that they replaced it like they agreed. So they put a new hub on.. It was brand new. nice and shiny. this was janurary last year at about 56k miles. truck has 62k now. and the same hub broke. I dont know if my truck is cursed or there is something wrong because it seams like all my problems come from the same corner every time ! And I swear I dont abuse the truck ! yeah I punch the throttle more then I should but thats all the abuse she gets from me ( the only driver )...
looks like this isnt going to cost as much as I thought. Getting the axle for 80 new. caliper for 90, pads for 60, and hub for 140 plus 30% off of those prices. Im going to fix it and see if I can not sell the lift pretty quick, if not im going to trade it in for something stock.
Edit- its okay, I dont think your a dink anymore haha.

The hubs are the same for 2/4 wheel drive....and those photos show a failure that should not have happened...The bearings wear and sometimes quicker then expected when running large tires and excessive wheel offsets. That failure is something else like a fracture from a weird hit or a manufacturing defect...

Ill take more detailed pics when i go start tearing it apart. maybe I should contact 4 wheel parts again even though I doubt they will want to even talk to me at all..

Hubs fail. Period. Doesn't matter the make or year and or how you drive it.
My experience over the last 10 years is that the manufacturers are adding heavier wheels and tires to compete with the aftermarket LOOK and are not upgrading the front hubs to carry the unsprung weight. Us knuckleheads who lift our trucks and run 20" PLUS size tires and wheels (not to mention beat the bag out of 'em) are not doing the math to account for the stresses that these things put on our vehicles. The result is as someone else had said...hubs more often...don't buy cheap aftermaket ones either....TIMKEN. Need I say more?
As far as the rear hubs go...proper brake and e-brake adjustment goes a long way to prevent sticking issues....including the cables.
courtesy parts had OE hubs for cheap a while ago...I keep a spare now...maybe overkill but it is piece of mind knowing I won't have to wait if one goes out since they are special order, I was able to get my local dealer to price match to move the parts/keep business
4wp should have warranty on their parts and or labor if they replaced it. Good luck on this one and good thing (assuming) no one was hurt.
