I had this problem when I first got my truck. It was the rear suspension boots (red dust covers). I gave those a 180 degree turn and all was good. Six months later quiet as can be.

Here are the culprits. I don't have any problems with the spring/shackle bolt bushings. However the plastic on the sides of these clamps with the rollers rubs the leafs, and to a lesser extent the clamps and plastic pads at the leaf ends. I lube all with good spray silicone, lasts about 6-8 months. I imagine moly grease would work longer, but messy to work with.

EDIT- Actually, I'm going to look at taking off the plastic side pieces from the sides of the roller clamps.

The dealer fixed mine 5 months ago and it hasn't returned. I never found out for sure what the adjustment they made was because they changed service managers during the month mine was in the shop.

You can get out there and just do a little bending until it stops squeeking. I could never see any signs of wear/rubbing so it took a little trial and error to finally hit the sweet spot.

I am having the same problem with mine. I took it to the dealer four times and all they did was spray it with WD40. Isn't that crazy? The problem is still there and they told me they can't fix it. What else can I do?

That little bracket with what looks like a roller on top is the culprit on mine.

I'm hearing this noise whenever I get out of the truck.

I got under the truck and pushed up on the leaf springs and it makes the same noise. One side is worse then the other side.

This something that can be fixed?

I have a '04 crew cab and at 6000 miles the shock is really annoyingly squeaking. I'm taking it in to the dealership next week.
