Same here

I have the truck only 2 weeks and notice it also. The A.C. has been on a lot, but with the windows down, including the rear one, not only do I hear the light squeeking from under the rear when its bumpy road, I also hear the rear tailgate chattering. I have the off road package and those red dust covers like bradld (posted above), so I will turn them 180 degrees and spray under there and the gate with silicone. If problem(s) persist, I will point it out when I eventually have to go to the dealer.

Yesterday I rotated those dust covers and proceeded to practically hose down those leaf springs with CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Spray. I concentrated just behind each rear tire where there is a rubber roller just to the top of the point the leafs are bound together. I rocked the truck up and down several times and the squeaking is no more. Thanks for the tips from this thread. I sprayed the rear tailgate door areas but did not go for a drive. I do not think it will stop the tailgate chatter. More likely something needs to be tightened but we'll see.

Re: Squeaky suspension

Yep, mine was the plastic bushing at the spring clamp too. I use this stuff called RD-50, it's a dry film lubricant that dries in seconds, no stain, repels dirt, and resists moisture. Seems to work well. I spray the plastic clamp bushings, the rollers, and the shackle points.
