I realize that you dont gain any clearance because of the drop bracket, but having the truck body and most of the frame up out of the way makes offroading easier. If you were to do a 4" with the rancho, the drop bracket would be close to the same height as stock. This is also why i havent installed a 6" lift.
The 2wd have spindles; 4" lift and increased ground clearance.
You could go with a mid travel kit; i think they can be set close to 4". But be prepared to spend some serious coin.
I see what you are saying now, I understand how it all works just didn't understand what you meant.
Has anyone thought about what I just said about using older model coils to lower your bracket lift a tad? Zero reason why it wouldn't work and many people have been trying to find a way to get a ~4" bracket lift. Problem solved.
