How About a rear drop?

Now I know there are a lot a guys and gals who are all into lifting the truck to the heavens so you could cross a lake without the water reaching your floor pan, but I'm not interested in that. My truck will probably never see the mud or dirt (well maybe sand on the beach) while I'm still paying for it. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a good rear drop that levels the truck off instead of a front lift.....

ditto.

I've had spring shops pull the pack and re-arch them in the past (to the desired level), but this truck is a wee bit pricey and I'm unsure if this would have negative effects or not. I think for now it will remain stock...

Pulling the load leaf isn't an option for me as I intend to use it as a truck (hauling towing, etc...). If you don't intend to put weight in the back or tow with it, removing the load leaf will drop it a bit and smooth out the ride considerably. You would want to make sure you wouldn't bottom out the shocks and check a few other things, but that would be one way to do it (very low-buck mod).

I heard shackles are are also a small expense option that moves the position of the leaf springs to lower the rear end 1 or 2 inches. Since it takes 2 1/2 inches to raise the front to be level, a 2" drop in the rear is also what I'm looking for. I believe shackles are designed for certain vehicles, and I haven't found any for the Titan yet.

Anyone hears anything different let me know.

Chassis Tech Makes a 2" drop shackle for the Nissan Titan for 69.99. I am Actually picking my kit up on Monday 12/20 .. I was told that the new shackles might barely hit the bottome of the bed, there is a 2 1/2 inch clearence from the existing bracket to the bottom of the bed. I will let youGuys know If it works ..

I'm thinking of ordering an extra set of shackles and taking them to a machine shop and have them extended about an 1 1/2 inches . That's about the max you can go without doing some cutting under the bed. That and the helper springs will give me about a 2 inch drop. Shackles are about 10 bucks apiece plus the machine shop labor. Shouldn't be too costly.

I'm going to order the stock ones from nissan dealer and have them extended. I talked to a guy from a machine shop and he said he could do and they would look just like stock except longer.

If you look above the rear shackle you will see a lip about 1 inch long that is under the bed which could be ground down a little without hurting anything if you want to gain a little more room.

Should be a pretty inexpensive drop. I should have about $50.00 wrapped up in it.

Just finished measuring everything up and it looks like I'm going to get about 1 1/2 inch drop with the modified shackles and 1/2 inch drop with the helper springs (JETTECH) so I should have about a 2 inch drop at the back bumper.
The rear wheel opening will be about 1 inch greater then the front. This should allow me to haul about 500 lbs in the rear without the rear being lower than the front. Just waiting for my shackles to come in now.

Just finished installing the modified shackles with were extended 2 inches. I got a two inch drop at the back bumper. I have a 5 inch opening in the front wheel well and a 6 inch opening in the rear wheel well. I also have the helper springs installed. I got just the look I wanted. Total cost was about $35 dollars. If you wanted a little more drop you could extend the shackles up to 2 inches but you would have to grind about 1/2 inch off of that lip that is on the bottom of the bed.

Can you post pics and maybe a list of total cost and where to get the items for this drop from?
