Excellent design. Daystar should have done that in the first place. I blew both struts and the dealer charged me almost $1000 to fix all the damage caused by daystar. It was all due to the coil preload bushing. This kit looks great. Its worth pulling the daystar out to get this kit. Spend a little now, rather than alot of $$$ later.

What exactly is involved in the install? Does the whole strut assembly unbolt? Do the springs need compressing? Is this beyond a backyard mechanic? If so where would be a good place to get this done?

Thanks

Easy, no compression needed. Take the top 3 strut nuts off, then the bottom strut bolt out and remove the strut. Bolt this spacer to the top of the strut and reassemble. Its that simple, in a nut shell

I was wondering if you needed alignment done afterwards? Your truck looks great by the way, my kit should be arriving today. No more stink bug!
