CST and body lift

I am a new user hopefully I will own a titan in the very near future. Anyways i am only 19 and really into cars, trucks, motorcycles, just about anything that goes voom. I want to lift my titan with the CST and body lift I want to put 20" KMC backseat wheels w/ black centers and 37" Open Country MTs. What do you guys think will happen to the performance ot the truck. I know that there are no gear sets for the truck yet. Also will the rearend hold up the the drag of the 37s? Cross your fingers for me so i can get a real truck. Thanks!

I don't know what all comes with the CST kit but you might want to get new leaf springs for the rear to help with the axle wrap.

There is an option when you get the cst lift to lift the rear with 4" leaf springs rather than the ubolts that come with it. I think it's about 600 or 700 bucks but i would definately suggest it. I wish i would have known when i got mine done. Must have some serious money for being 19.

Yeah full time constuction worker. I know about the leafs, i am talking about the actual strength of the rearend. Also max I remember you saying some thing about an extra 1" spacer on your lift to clear you 10" wide wheel what kind is it and does it put the upper are on the bumpstop or not?

Did you install the body lift? I was talking to a guy at 4 wheel parts and he was saying the install was the most labor intensive body lift they've done. Kinda funny, they said the same thing about the CST kit(which me a few buddies put in) and it was pretty easy.

They wanted $850 for the body lift installed...

They had a titan outside with the CST and the body lift, it looked AWESOME.

The bulletproof would be a lot more expensive i believe, but if you had the money and wanted big, that is the ultimate.

by the time you pay for the lift and body lift and install on 2 kits your with in 100-200 bucks of the cost so y not go big? sure your tires and shocks are going to be a bit moor but if you are like me and use your head and buy parts 1 at a time and do some foot work you will save $$ and not have to settle for some thing that you wished you had spent a extra 100.00 bucks for think about it cst 8' lift 2,200.00 performance body lift 379.00 install 2 kits 800.00 bulitproof 12' kit 3,100.00 + 400.00 intall just in the kit and install you are spending extra $121.00 big woop in the grand skeem of things! and you still can go bigger if you want. nuts but hay you can!!!

how do you get into a truck with a 12' lift? Guess you would need a ladder or elevator.

Actually, it is a lot more expensive than you think. This is a quote from a post that was made awhile ago about the cost of the bulletproof lift, rather expensive!!

"I just came from SoCal Supertrucks, and sure enough they have a 12" suspension lift for the Titan made by Bullet Proof Suspension. I can can tell you that this is one massive looking lift kit, they in fact were installing one on a Titan. The components are equal to what CST makes. I must say that the truck they had there was looking pretty good. In fact it was a brand new Black Crew Cab 4x4 Titan that was being lifted for the Nissan dealership in Hemet. Currently this truck was running 20" wheels with 38" tires and a B-Cool Billet Grill. Also there were in the process of making a custom from light bar made w/ 4 Hella lights.

I feel that cost is going to be a down-fall for this lift. First, you must use coil-over front shocks which are not cheap in the first place. Second, the kit is very basic, you still have to purchase new rear leaf springs to complete the lift.

Here's the run down from SOCal:

Bullet Proof 12" Suspension Kit - $3650.00
Atalas 9" Rear Leaf Springs - $675.00
2 Fox 12" 2.5 coil-over shocks w/ res. - $1450.00
2 Fox 2.0 shocks w/ res. - $370.00

SoCal Labor - $1000.00
High Angle "CV" Rear Drive Shaft - $495.00

Total Cost w/ Tax: $8116.24

Was told they would do the package for $7750.00 out the door

SoCal Supertrucks: 909-383-5454"

Exclamation Bulletproof 12" for Titan

Hey guys-

Not to clown on anyone... but just so you know- especially to the guy that was thinking of running this system:

I've been kicking around the same thing for a few months- whether to stick with 7" CST and 35's or 37's with the 3" body lift. Right off the bat I discovered SoCal's Big Black Titan in their gallery.
http://www.socalsupertrucks.com/gall...p?brand=Nissan

About a month ago (5/05) when I asked a buddy of mine at the shop (will leave name out), he discreetly said that that it actually turned out to be a very unsafe setup with lots of problems and to basically forget about that truck- the only thing it's good for is sitting there to look good. If you want more advice just call them up- they'll be very honest about it.

So if you have to go big- the 7" CST, 3" body is the best way to fit the over 35" tires- unless something other than the Bulletproof comes out.

Still then keep in mind, you've got to figure in loss in gas mileage, hp, rear end rap, money, possible regear down the road, etc. with 37's. I'm not knocking it, believe me- I wanted to be different than the 6"/35's, but this will be my everyday driver, so I have to have some practicality!!!
