Well The Big Hole You Use To Set Your Template Is Smaller Than The Actual Hole On The Frame Your Lining It Up With So That Throws The Template Off A Little. When You Go To Put It On The Truck There Is Nothing To Line The End Of The Template With. We Got Lucky I Guess, Everything Lined Up

I think I will get an idea where to drill the holes from the template and then put the bolts through the bracket and mark it using the bolts so they are the exact distance apart, once the holes are drilled on one side try and drill through the other side going all the way through.
I'm gonna have to find someone to help me install it over here. A couple of shops around here, even the one that lifted mine, said they charge 75 dollars an hour and then they don't know how long it will take. What a bunch of BS!! I'm not just gonna take it in there without knowing the exact price. For all i know they could take there time on it. If you hadn't messed that one thing up neworleansmike, how long do you say it would have taken you?

If you can get someone to cut the brace off it shouldn't take that long. Once you buy the kit you could drill the holes yourself and take it somewhere to have the brace cut out. There are only 2 nuts holding the bearing on, take those off, move the bearing out of the way, cut off the brace, bolt the new bracket to the brace, bolt the brace on using the holes you already made and its over. I think that is what I am going to do. Sounds simple, watch it take me a few hours!!!!LOL.
If I wouldn't have cut the tab off i'd say an hour and 1/2 job max. This includes the aluminum slugs having to be grinded down to fit inside the procomp bracket. Cutting the support out took 10 minutes use a sawzall with a long blade and it will come out pretty easy. By the way Eptitan does your aluminum slugs fit inside the bracket easily?
Right on, i'm gonna order it next week, but i probably won't have a chance to put it on for a couple of weeks. If either or you guys get a chance, could you post the instructions or maybe kinda step by step how you did it and make a picture of what it looks like afterwards so i know exactly what we are gonna be dealing with over here. Thanks a lot, you guys are tons of help.

Mine fit inside the bracket but it is a little tight getting them in there.

Max, if you give me your e-mail address I will send you the instructions. It says the file is too big to upload it here.

Well I put mine on myself today and boy was it a pita!!!!!!!! It would have been ALOT easier if mine hadn't been cut, lowered, and re-welded already. Had to buy a sawsall, new drill w/ 1/2 chuck, and aa grinder but with the money I saved by doing it myself I came out ok I guess. I think that most of my problem was that when they lowered it they welded it back on about 1/2" to 3/4" to far toward the driver side. I got back a little bit of the " rear end wobble" feeling on hard take off but I got rid of the drive shaft vibration. Overall I am very happy with it.
Right on, congrats man. I'm gonna order mine next week and hopefully get it installed the next couple of weeks. Too bad they couldn't have came out with this a long time ago.

Well I decided to do a little modifying to mine to see if I could get rid of the slight ' rear wheel wobble ' that I got back. I figured that since it was lower when they welded it in and I didn't have the wobble just a drive shaft vibration that I could lower it and fix the problem. I took the bracket out and drilled holes above the ones in the bracket and then cut off the lower part of the bracket. Re-installed it and it worked like a champ, no wobble and no vibration. I may have just needed to lower it a bit more than others with just the 6" lift because I left my 2" leveling kiy on with the Fabtech kit. What ever the reason is though I am a happy camper today!!!!!!!!!! I did break the plastic piece off my recline lever getting out earlier today so I guess this makes up for it. Good thing is that it only cost me a little over $6 to order the new plastic piece.
