Help! Need measurement from 4x4 owners.

I'm tying to determine if the Air Lift air springs for the 4x4 will fit a 4x2.

Can someone measure from the top of the leaf spring pack directly above the axle to the bottom of the frame directly above the axle?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks scottsbro23. I'll go check my 4x2 with offroad right now.

Well, its raining here and I'm at work so I'm going to have to wait until it clears up, unless someone with a 4x2 wants to measure for me?

KC, LE, 4X4, without off road, I measure 7" exactly from top of top leaf spring to where the spring bumper hits the bracket welded onto the frame. The actual distance changes when measured to the frame itself since it is curved in this area and the bracket gives the most level measuring point.

Hope this helps, I've been following the thread for the Firestone airbags since I hope to install same on my truck. Hope to get them before installing leveling rear spring shackles to see if they work after this mod.

Okay, I just measured my 4x2 Offroad like Marv did, from top of spring perch to the bottom of the bracket where the bump stop hits and got 6". So it looks like the 4x4 Air Lift kit will not work. The simple fix is for Air Lift to supply a 1" shorter air spring. I guess there's not much I can do but wait.

Thanks for the help, guys.

i told you!!!

i just told you that i spoke to airlift directly regarding lifting the rear w/ blocks, or deaver springs....again they said if your using blocks whether 1,2, or 3 inch blocks, THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES ON INSTALLATION, AND AGAIN if your going to get new leaf springs, you need to change the installation from stock to your new leaf spring lift(that means drilling new holes onto the frame!!!!!!)
