Driving a Basketball

I have a 05 King Cab 4x4 with the off-road package. Driving on some freeways the ride is like riding inside a basketball! I had the CST 7” lift with Deaver springs and Fox 2.0 installed last month, the ride was a little better but still very bouncy. I have had other trucks lifted and or not lifted but, this is by far the worst ride when on the freeways. In town or freeway lanes not cupped the ride is great. I have been waiting for the Fox Coil-Overs to replace the Ranchos up front as a possible solution. My question is, will this help smooth out the whoops on the freeway or is there a better solution? I love the truck, but it feels like I’ve done a 45min moto when I drive the freeways! My wife won’t ride with me cause the ride makes her sick! Any advice would be great! Thanks…………………..

That's weird. I think the ride is pretty good and i have the cst lift too. It was actually a lot smoother than my old frontier.

What kind of psi are you running in your tires?

Greg I PM you, thanks. I agree it has to be the valving. I need to hear what everyone else thinks (I needed the reassurance) SoCal Super Trucks did the install they say the Fox 2.0s were valved to spec. I am having them look into it. I run 37psi in the rear went down to 32 no change. I read a lot here on Titan Talk about how great the ride is after the trucks are lifted. I know it can be fixed! Thanks for the input!

My stock 4x4 off-road feels like I'm riding a hopity-hop down the road. [The 2 foot diameter balls with a handle kids bounce around on].
I go for months not really noticing, but then the little lady b!tches the whole time she rides in the truck, so it stays in my head for a while afterwards. [Only had her in my Titan 3 or 4 times, in 15 K miles so not too bad].

I did plan to try the JetTech helper spring/Traction bar mod, since this compresses the springs, simulating a loaded bed. Several people claim that bounciness is eliminated. [not necessarily from this site].

Has anyone here eliminated bounciness with this?

Also, comments on these from the suspension pros would be welcome.

On a lighter, and extremely cool note, I told the wifey today that the rear shocks will most likely be in the $400 range, but the PRG coil-overs will probably be closer to the $900-$1000 range. Plus installation and a trip to SoCal for a PRG install.

Her eyes seemed to sort of glaze over as I explained Greg tunes suspensions for race trucks and the air the trucks were getting at his event last weekend. [From the pics his wife, Jen posted].

But then my little lady said, if it saves your back it is worth it.

WTF? Moments like this help explain 23 years together I guess.

This has been a very strange week here on TitanTalk and the little worlds influenced by it.
