PRG Kits

I'm looking at putting the PRG leveling kit on my 05 4x4 titan w/o the off road package. I want to put the 1/5" block for the rear but I noticed you "might" need to replace the shocks. What do they mean when they say "might"? Is it possible to do it without replacing the shocks? Also, does anybody have any pics of a titan with both the front and rear kits installed? Thanks!

Here is a pic of Havock's truck with a 2.5" front / 1.5" rear PRG lift.

Send a PM to PrerunnerGreg (PRG) and he can answer any questions you have.

Also if you do a search, there is a ton of info on PRG.

Hope this helps....

Hey, that's a nice looking Titan in that pic!

I have the 2.5" front and 1.5" rear kits on my Titan. I have the 2WD w/ OR, and am still running the stock Ranchos in the rear. I only have a problem with them when I go over a speed bump to fast and the rear drops, or if I try to get too much axle articulation. Those will cause the shock to bottom out and I hear the clunking sound. Other than that, normal on road driving doesn't cause a problem with my current setup.

That being said, I received my new PRG Bilstein rear shocks yesterday and will be installing them when I get my new leaf packs next weekend. I wanted/needed the new Bilsteins for a couple reasons. First, they give the longer travel that I can use now, plus the leaf packs will give me an extra 1.25" of lift which will put me well past what my Ranchos can handle. Second, the Bilsteins are a much better quality shock and will give me much better on and off road performance/ride quality.

As TCW mentioned, contact PRG with your questions/concerns and he will help you get the setup that you need for your truck!

i asked greg something similar and this is what he said

Jeff, I ran 1.5" blocks for a long time and had no issue with axle wrap, it was no worse than stock and that wasn't bad at all. Any leaf spring truck will have a little, that is part of the design. Your 4x will certainly have less than my 2wd becauseof the shpe of the over-load leaf. Run the block, you can always take it right back out if your not happy. As for the rear shock upgrade, you can get by without it on your 4x, but if you notice the shock "topping-out" over speed bumps and such, then you might consider upgrading at that time. No sense spending money if you dont need to.

I'm gonna hold out for the Donahoes for the front. They should be a great match for the Bilsteins in the back.

Calhoun has a 6" lift already, the foxes will be great for his application.

I ended up going with the 1.5" rear block and 2.5" front spacers. I can't wait to get them on and I'll be sure to post some pics. Does anybody know how long it takes for shipping? I wanted to get them on before I go on vacation.
