Rancho 9000's vs Fox ?

Can anyone provide the why and/or why not for this?

I was ready to go ProComp but dont want to be up that high. I know the Rancho kit is out now and am ready to buy it - remote resovoir and all, but I keep hearing about Fox Shocks.

I was going to go for the 9000X versions for Rancho - what's the difference b/w the two (Rancho and Fox) pics would be helpful.

Thanks for any input.

PRG might be able to set you up with Fox coil overs even with the Rancho lift. PM PrerunnerGreg.

Here's a link to a thread that shows Rancho shocks vs. the Fox. Check out the pic on the right.

some different shocks, not titan specific

The Rancho are like a Mustang. Peppy and sporty but made for everyone to drive, even our mothers.

The Fox's are like a Ferrari. Performance through and through. Others in this catagory are Sway Away, Donahoe, and King.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the info -

I've PM'd Greg for more info.

I was looking on line - what kind of prices are these things (Fox Shocks) brining in?

Thanks,

Paul has driven my personal truck that uses the fox coilovers, as have a few others on the board. My personl testiment could be more of a sales pitch, so please chime-in with any comments. Also, if anyone wants to meet-up, my keys are yours for a test drive. Just let me know.

The foxes are selling for $899+ shipping for a limited time. They will go up at least a $100 very soon.

You guys will be amazed at the way Greg's truck rides in comparison to stock. In my opinion replacing the stock struts with a quality set of coilovers (Donahoe, Fox, Swayaway) and tuning the rear leafs and shocks will be the best $1500 (or so) spent modding our trucks.

Coil-overs that are currently available are only for the 2wd (stock to +3") or any titan with a 4-8" lift (cst, rancho, procomp, fabtech). THe reason nothin is ready yet for the 4x is that the lower spring retainer hits the axle. There should be soming ready very soon for the 4x's though.

PRG,
i am running 6" procomp stage 1 set up w/spacer. I ran the stage 2 kit for a week or two and it was horrible! The stage 1 is OK but I really wanted a shock upgrade. The stage 1 rides fine on the street but offroad is not so good. Lots of bumpsteer, very bouncy, etc. Can I run the fox shocks with my stage 1 6" procomp system?? Will I still use the spacer. 04 titan King cab LE 4 x 4. Please advise?? Thanks!
