Unhappy ripped ABS sensor wire after 6in lift?

I just had my titan at the dealership because both the abs and the slip light came on at the same time. Turns out my passenger side abs sensor wire ripped in two aparently from too much drop from the lift (pro comp). Were there any measures the installer was susposed to take when they installed the lift. I haven't read anything about abs sensor wire extensions or anything. Is this just a fluke, cause that would be my luck. I'm going to contact the people who installed the lift tomorrow, just wanted some opinions or sugestions though.
thanks, later

haven't been off-road since i've had the lift put on, it's been in and out of the shops, 1. off-road shop because something was wrong with the steering and there was a popping sound. 2. Nissan first free oil-change, brake upgrade and other minor repairs. 3. Had to carry back to nissan because they lost my locking lugnut key and thats when it broke, on the highway apparently. I've only put about 500-700 miles on it since it was lifted. Heck i keep waiting for it to stay out of the shop so I can mount my wheels and tires
thats my luck though
(i.e our 05 path has been in the shop for over 2 weeks now, and the trans is starting to go out on our stealth, we can only laugh. At least I have a company vehicle or we'd be outa commision)

I would say that whomever installed it probably routed the wire incorrectly. Thus resulting in it either rubbing on something which caused the problem, or else it was too short to handle the downward suspension travel. I noticed my wire was being rubbed about 2 mos. after the install, and I just zip tied it to the brake line. If I were you I'd crawl underneath (you don't even need to jack it up) and look at all the brake lines (F & R) and check the abs line on the opposite side as well. It won't hurt to check all the bolts too.

normally there is enough cable to reach the abs sensor without any strain if the installer removes the cable from one or two of it's clamps. I would bet that the installer didn't read the directions and skipped a step that would have put some slack in that cable. good luck- at least it's not your fault!!

yes to the tune of $160 for the sensor wire. I think the installer removed the wire from the clamps to allow some slack, I had noticed that after the install. But either one of two things happened. 1 the wire got caught back in one of the clamps when turning and when the suspension dropped it cut and ripped it. or 2 the nissan dealer did the brake upgrade after the lift and may have hooked the wire back into its spot (not knowing it was disconnected for slack). I really think the 1st is what happened due to the condition of the wire, and the driver side is still left slack

the off-road shop took care of the problem, no questions asked. They showed me what happened in their opinion. The wire was definetley rubbing on the tire as the wear marks on the tire indicate. They claim the wires were in the clamps when it left, but ziptied them this time just to be safe. but the wire got caught in the clamp probably during a turn and suspension drop and pretty much cut it though. At this point i don't really care becuase all is secure and working, although i will keep an eye on things.
thanks for the suggestions
