Just compared side by side PRGs mini lift Vs. Rancho 4" lift...
Hi there, I just came back from a 4x4 shop where they had installed a rancho 4" lift kit on a brand new 4x2 CC 2005 Titan, I parked next to him with my PRG 2" front kit and 1" rear block.
My 4x4 CC on BFG MT 35x12.5r17, the rancho 4x2 on BFG 35x12.5r18...
You could barely(if you where looking for it) notice a small height difference on the front suspension height between the rancho and PRG 2" leveling kit, the rear height diference was almost not noticeable between the rancho 2" block and my PRG 1" block.
Well I took a tape measurement and got numbers...
Front suspension: Rancho was only about 1.75" higher than PRG...
Rear suspension: Rancho was only about 1.5" higher than PRG...
My conclusion:
1. There isnt any height difference between the rancho lift and PRGs new mini lift kits.
2. On the front suspension I would rather get that extra 1.5" from Fox or DR coilovers with TC aarms and have a MUCH better QUALITY ride on and off road.
3. On the rear suspension I would rather add the deavers/bilstein to get that extra 1.25" of lift and a MUCH better quality ride on and off road.
What do you guys THINK, any ADVISE?

Personally I am waiting on the DR rear shocks that are in the works. I am getting ready to put on the PRG traction bars. I can't stand that rear end wrap.
Once the DR rears are out I plan on doing the front coilovers and rear shocks at the same time.

I have PRG traction bars. I will have pictures up by the end of today. PST. They are awesome. You can tell the difference. There is absolutely no 1 or 2 seconds delay when I step on the accellerator.
I was thinking about going with the Rancho lift...but after talking to a local shop and reading this thread I will go with the PRG mini lift. Thanks K-MU

The 2wd front spring is softer than the 4x and will sit about 3/4" taller no matter what lift you have (as long as it retains the factory spring) and the rear spring perch is about 3/4" taller on a 4x, so it will sit a bit taller no matter which block or spring combo is used. Sucks for us 2wd guys.
You are correct 1.5 inches I believe. If they would have both been 4x4's the difference with the Rancho lift would have been much more obvious.
There is only .5" of height difference from the 4x2 and the 4x4 on a stock truck, that is why the PRG 2.5" spacer is for the 4x2 and the 2" spacer is for the 4x4... I could be completely wrong on this subject and the spacer differnce could be because of suspension travel issues between the 4x2 and the 4x4 and not because of the oem stock height...

So this would mean that if I add the rancho suspension to my truck I would get about 2.5" inches of lift compared to the 2" leveling kit I currently have?
THX in advance...

Anyone?
So with a Rancho lift a 4x4 truck would be around .75" taller front and rear than a 4x2 with the same lift?
THX again...

from greg's explanation, that is my understanding. in light of all recent information... i think i'm probably going to do a rancho or pro comp lift first and then add the foxes at a later time for a better ride. too expensive to do at the same time!

You will love the foxes once you get them,,, i do not regret the expense one bit,,,the ride is awsome.......

How many extra inches of lift did you get with the fox coilovers on the rancho kit because you mention a 6" lift? You still with the rancho block in the rear and does the truck look nose high?
