Hi there, I really want to lift my truck a couple of inches more from my PRG 2" kit, right now I will probably go with a rancho 4" lift kit with RSX on all 4 corners on my CC 4x4 Off road big tow... now when more money becomes available I will get DR coilovers front and rear shocks..
Now here is the catch, there is a Rancho 4x2 CC("NO" offroad or big tow) lifted truck @ the dealership with the rancho RSX9000 shocks on all 4 corners...
I will test drive it this afternoon to see how the rancho lift rides with the RSX9000 shocks... Will the ride of my truck with the same lift and shocks be comparable to this 4x2?
THX in advance

if all the lift components are the same u can expect a very similar ride. if it is the same lift with the same shocks all u need to worry about is the wheel and tire combination as that can effect things a bit.

Well the Titan at the dealership has the oem 18" wheels on 35" BFG MTs now I have the 17" oem wheels with the 35" BFG MTs also...

The 4x4 Titans with the Big Tow pkg. have a different, (presumably heavier-duty), rear leaf spring pak, or maybe at least, the overload spring, compared to the other Titan models/options. Therefore, it could be very different than a 2wd.
im not sure about the rancho lifts but ive installed quite a few of the 6" fabtech lifts and the kits for the 4x2 and 4x4 are exactly the same. only difference is little less work and a few less bolts on the 4x2's to install. and as far as i know the leaf spring packs look identical to me as well cus ive pulled apart both 4x2 and 4x4 spring packs to install add-a-leafs. the ride should be very comparable in my honest opinion.
Hey guys THX for the answers/advise... I will eventually remove the overloaf leaf on my truck and get PRG deavers for an extra lift and ride improvement...

According to Trademotion.com, a part supplier of OEM parts, linked to from EverythingNissan.com,
There are three leaf pack available for Titans:
I don't know how much of a difference there would be, however it stands to reason the ride would be quite different even between the two 4x4 versions, (much stiffer for the Big Tow).
well all i was tryin to say is that visually there is no difference. but i must say this.... dont go with any add-a-leaf setup anyways cus the ride gets sooo much worse hehe... rancho seems like a good lift and test drivin a titan no matter what it is should give ya a good idea as to what the ride will b like. i think pro comp is a good choice too if ya want a close to factory ride but the fabtech lifts are much more stiff and uncomfortable from my experience.

Just thought you, (and especially K-MU since he has the 4x4 BT), would like to know about the various leafs and that the 4x4 BT would most likely be a lot different than the 2wd.
Curious about your comment on add-a-leaf setups.
Are you including replacement over-load spring upgrades, a.k.a mini-paks in your "ride gets so much worse statement"? or to something like a Hellwig, etc.? I believe these are very different. PRG speaks of the ride being less harsh with his Deaver overload replacements.
when i say add-a-leaf i'm speaking of actually adding a leaf spring. an add-a-leaf is an additional leaf spring that is added in the middle of the spring pack. so instead of having 3 leafs and an overload spring u have 4 leafs and an overload spring and this makes the rearend much more stiff. im not sure about all the lift kits but i think fabtech is the only one that does this to lift the rear with a 2 inch block instead of say procomp that uses a 4 inch block and no add-a-leaf.
