what is everyone doing with the old coilovers

just curious. It seems like everyone puts on a lift and then ditches the coilovers for the front in favor of the dr's. I might want to buy a set if anyone is willing to part with them. I want more lift but its tax time coming so I need to save all the money I can to pay taxes and the property tax. If anyone has a set they ditched let me know and for the right price I might take them off your hands.

I threw mine away. Out of 4 OEM "Rancho" shocks, two were blown, one front & one rear. There was a complete set on Ebay with only 10 miles not long ago.

I was hoping to find someone who did the pro comp lift and then ditched the coilovers. if they are good and you want to get rid of them then let me know

be sure you get a set off a 4x if you have a 4x. Putting a set of stock 4x shocks ona 2wd would be anice upgrade and provide a nice inch or so of lift and better handling.

Re: what is everyone doing with the old coilovers

I really need that extra inch or two of lift. I have the leveling kit with 315's and they rub like crazy. any other suggestions other than get smaller tires. I tried to trade these for something a little bit smaller but no takers and buying another set of tires is out of the question at the moment.

Re: what is everyone doing with the old coilovers

Hmm. It got the DRs up front and my old 4x4 coilovers are sitting in the garage. I was thinking that if I ever traded in my Titan for a new one, I would swap them out and put the DRs in the new truck. Send me an offer for the coilovers. I'm not sure how much their worth.

Re: what is everyone doing with the old coilovers

I was thinking about swapping some in place of the leaf springs on my Samurai. I'd like to find a few sets somewhere for cheap. I think I could do a real flexy 4 link setup for really cheap and not much hassle.

Re: what is everyone doing with the old coilovers

I kept mine in my garage for over 4 months with postings here and elsewhere looking to first sell, then to give them away. No takers, so they're sitting out with the trash as we speak waiting to go to the landfill in the morning.
