HemiHunter: Truck looks amazing! Did you drive the truck for quite a while lifted w/o the bars? How bad was the axle wrap w/ the CST lift? Also what size are you tires? 35x12.5?
The axle wrap was pretty bad. The rear end of the truck felt loose when driving. If I gunned it and got on it hard a loud popping sound was heard and felt under the cabin right up your spine.
Turns out my drive shaft had pulled back from the transfer case about 2 inches, we are still trying to figure out why (cst lift or rear end replacement 2005). The rear end would twist up forcing the drive shaft..(even though only 2 inches) forward slamming it against the transfer case. This isn't good.
The traction bars took care of the problem by keeping the rear end in place. The drive line doesnt move now and the truck just launches.
The tires are BFG A/T's 17x12.5. I can light them up too. PRG is the man.

i had this same problem and found out, after numerous times in to the dealership, that it was the transmission mounts that had gone bad. these mounts are meant to keep the tranny from rising upon acceleration. i installed prg's traction bars and the clunk was gone, but i knew it wasn't fixed. this just goes to show how well the traction bars work. they actually kept the tranny from rising somehow. a few days later the mounts were replaced and fixed and i was able to hammer on the accelerator with no doubts. prg is the best by far.

I have inspected the mounts and they appear to be alright. That was the first thing I did under Greg's recommendations..
You could still be right though. They could be broke but not seen. The bolts appear to be tight, I haven't checked because they are bottomed out and there hasn't been any movement.
We jacked up the transfer case and there was no movement.
