? about lowering

is it bad to lower a titan without a drop kit?
i was thinking of heating the coils and rearching the leave springs
with a company in Hawaii since it will cost me $1400 to purchase a streebeats drop kit and have a pro install. I m thinking 2/4 like the kit but is this bad for my ride and in the long run?
Can anyone tell me if this will ruin my truck?
Mahalos ("thanks" in Hawaiian)

Thats right up there with stacking hockey pucks for a body lift.

Re: ? about lowering

oh no. don't heat or cut things. yes prg is working on stuff.

i don't know what's available in HI, but you can see if there's a suspension shop that can de-arch your rear leafs and maybe build some new coils for you.

Re: ? about lowering

or if you really want to go low ditch all the crappy stock suspension products and get a custom airbag setup, and 4 link suspension (100 times better than leaf springs) A fullblown bagged setup will run you about 3,500-4,500 depending on who does it.. This will ride like a caddy even when 2-3" off of the ground, I've had 2 bagged trucks before and it just blows away any other lowered suspension products.. Most bags can handle over 3,000 lbs carrying capacity per bag! So doing this will in no way reduce your effectiveness of towing/hauling in fact it will increase it up to the limitations of what the motor/transmission/brakes can handle

Re: ? about lowering

does anyone know anything about streetbeats kit? it says a full spring replacement. ebay has a kit but the pic is of 4 coil springs. streetbeat doesnt even have a pic of the parts to the kit it just has a pic of the truck! do we know anyone that has bought their kit? i think the ebay kit might be for the armada??? the company that sells it doesnt give refunds for non defective products. they might just be trying to rip us off!

Re: ? about lowering

A shady ebay company?? but heres something im working on literally right now. i didnt wat to post pics of it in this stat as it looks kinda messy, but this is the 2.0 fox coilover for lowered performance applications. should go from stock (maybe even +1") to minus 2.5". I am hoping to have these on my truck tomorrw.
