Pro Comp 6" lift. 2 Wd

I am thinking about doing the Pro Comp 6" lift myself. My questions are:

1. Are the 2WD kit and 4X4 kit the same?
2. Does anybody have the PDF file for 2WD installation directions?
3. How long did it take to install?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Pro Comp 6" lift. 2 Wd

Iv done 2 2wd titans in one day. I just did a 4wd in 3.5 hours start to finish. The only thing you will need is the carrier bearing drop bracket. That is by far the hardest part to install. I mod them and weld it in place, much stronger and eaiser maintenance. I might suggest a fabtech kit and cutting off the stock 4x brackets and addign braided brake lines, it will look much taller form the front (becasue of the shap of the x-member and if the brackets are cut off, it installs as easy as the pc kit. but the rear add-a-leafs suck.

I never expected advice from the master. You doing 2 2wds in on day might equal me a 2 buddies struggling 2 days to lift my titan. Nevertheless I appreciate your words of wisdom. I just wish I lived closer to you, then I would never entertain the idea of "do it yourself".

When you speak of the fabtech kit "cutting off the stock 4x brackets" is that a part of the kit that you modify? If so, if I got the kit from you could this modification be done before shipping?

Currently I have the PRG 2.5" spacer up front, this is it has only teased me for wanting to do a full 6" lift.

I have plenty of tools and my mechanical skills are pretty good. It's just that I've never done any suspension work and wanted input on how hard it was/is.

Thanks Greg for your support hope you reply again.

Yeah, and you could swing through Panama City FL too. It's just a little off of I-10.

You bet I could mod the kit before i shipped it to you. I could build you a complete custom package too. And i can give you credit on your leveling kit too. Give me a call 951 780-5331.

Re: Pro Comp 6" lift. 2 Wd

Thanks Greg. I'm kinda just doing homework right now. Just spent $2,300 on tires, rims and bushwackers & paint figure it's gonna take me another 3-4 months to save up another 1500-2500 to get the lift started. I would like to give you a call though to plan out what I need to do in stages. I'll PM you.
