Question to other lucky DR owners

I just installed DR coilovers and Bilsteins. I have an 05 CC offroad. I only got 1.5 lift on one side and 1.25 on the other. My question is did anybody actually get the full 2" lift out of the box or did you have to crank them up a little?? Can somebody give me a measurement on theirs from the hub?? My truck seemed to sit a little bit higher then most from the factory to begin with so I thought that might have something to do with it. Right now the front sits exactly 2" lower then the rear measuring to the fendor lip.

By the way.......these things are AWESOME

Any opinions? Thanks.

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

Mine were off a little bit but it was closer to the 2 inches. I adjusted them so that they would be equivelant height. The truck isn't symmetrical by any means so weight distribution varies at each wheel.

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

I had the opposite problem. My fronts were even (about 38.75" from floor to fender over center of the wheel) but it exposed the rear being 1" different from side to side (39.5" left side, 40.5" right). I never noticed it before but now that I have, it's bugging the sh!t outta me.

...and yes, the are AWESOME!

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

I really am not that worried about the truck being off 1/4" from side to side. All my trucks have been off alittle. My Tundra was 1" to 1 1/2" on the back. My main question are people getting the full 2" lift from the DR or are they having to adjust.

My truck is exactly the same, from stock height to the rancho lifted height...

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

K-MU - really? The Rancho only put you at about 39"?

jaimr - I wish I had taken measurements before the DR upgrade. I know people have said the leveling kit puts it at level or a little rake. I have almost 1" of rake so I'm guess the DRs weren't exactly at 2"...but who knows.

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

I haven't measured since I put them on (been too busy out hitting speed bumps =) ) but the truck seems to sit about where it was w/ the PRG leveling kit. Maybe a teeny bit lower so I'd guess just under 2". As soon as it warms up a bit I'm gonna crank a little more outta mine.

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

I have 38" in front, 37 3/4" rear, DRs gave me pretty much 2" in front, about 1/2" higher than Greg's leveling kit.

Im sorry, what I meant is that my truck was uneven from factory and it still is even with the rancho lift...

The rancho lift kit gave me about 5" of lift...

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

To have a meaningful comparison, the measurement should be from the center of the hub to the top of the fender arch.

The model and options can make a difference too, another good reason to state all of your truck's stats in your signature.

My DREs were a bit uneven in initial collar settings, so I had the installer use a U.S. quarter as a template to set the height evenly between them, (after mounting them on the Titan), which also raised the truck. He said that this ended up being an increase of exactly two inches.

It now looks fairly level.

Thats for a 4x4 right??? Would a 4x2 get more height from the DRs??
As I would assume its different due to the weight of the transfer case.

Re: Question to other lucky DR owners

Yeah, I can only say that's how it worked out on mine - a quarter equaled 2" of lift. Mine is a 4x4 w/Off-road & Tow pkg.

But some type of template like a coin will ensure both sides are close, instead of trying to use a tape.

2wds should be like a level kit where you can go a half inch more. I know PRG uses a thicker billet for them so you might need a bigger coin

You have the same set up as me. I have a 4x4 OR BT with BKG KO's. Can you tell me what your truck measures in the front??
