prg on the way, so what rim offset!

alright so i ordered the level kit from PRG for my 05 4x4 offrd. in a couple weeks im ordering the deavers, i dont want blocks or add a leafs due to axle wrap... next up ive got ahook up for moto metal 951 black wheels and 35 mt.. now that ive made this statment, i know ill need to trim, obviously i want as little trimming as possible so i want the best offset for my rims possible to get clearance... suggestions? also im going to wheel the titan, itll get abreak once im in NH and building my jeep again...

Re: prg on the way, so what rim offset!

I'm not entirely sure but I don't think you have much of a choice as far as offset for those wheels. It's basically 4.5" of backspace or about -12mm for a rim 9" wide or -24mm for a rim 10" wide. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I came up with when I was researching wheels. 35s with just a leveling kit and only 4.5" of backspace is highly unlikely.

Re: prg on the way, so what rim offset!

you may very well be right... so i take it theyre gonna stick out alot?? anyone got pics of the leveling kit and 33x1250s sticking out? i was thinking i may do 33s cuzza gas and ill save for a bigger lift and big meats down the line

what would be the potimum offset to run 35s? stock offset- i thought about maybe powercoating the stockers to save$ and be a lil different (no cleaning brake dust!) ? thanks guys

At least +20mm offset, more is better. Depends on rim width.

These are 20x9, +20 offset with Nitto TG 35s. If the offset were +25, I don't think I would ever have any rub. Right now I get a little when turning over a bump (up a driveway, e.g.).

F.Y.I. - I have the 6" Pro Comp lift with Moto Metal 951's in 20x10. My backspacing is 4.75 in. and my Mudgrapplers stick out about 1.5 - 2.0 in. Pics are on the way.

I am running a 20x8.5 with 33x12.5's with a +18 with no rubbing and a PRG 2'' leveling kit.

Re: prg on the way, so what rim offset!

You Can Run Stock Wheels With A Leveling Kit. It Doesn't Matter Until You Get A Suspension Lift And The Spindles Are Changed. It All Depends On How Much You Like Them To Stick Out. If You Are Even Thinking Of Putting A Larger Lift Latter On Go With The Offset The Lift You Are Looking At Calls For. I Would Suggest A 5 Inch Backspacing.

Re: prg on the way, so what rim offset!

so basically the concensus is that i need a stock offset, or as close to that as possible to have minimal rubbing w/35s, the rims i want arent available in the desired offset so i can either get the rims and 33s, find new rims with proper offset and run 35s, or stay with my stock rims i hate mayeb powdercoat them and roll 35s, and maybe someday get a bigger lift, different rims ect

Ok I just put the same rims in the 18x9's on my 2x4 with 285x65x18 BFG AT's (essentially 32.58x11.4x18's). I have the PRG mini lift and the new combo rubs significantly. I’m a little disappointed because I really wanted to go 35's latter on when I lift her but I'm affaird I'm going to have some serious rubbing and I really don't want to buy new wheels again.

Not on me right now but I will upload a few after I get off of work today. They look great, I just have to go in and loose the mud flaps and trim some of the fender well lining.
