fabtech lift

i went to les swab today (it is a tire shop) and they quoted me just over $2000 for the fabtech 6in w/o coilovers, if i want the c/o it would be another $1000. i was leaning more towared pro comp but im sure the fabtech lift is nice also. but is this an average price? and how are their c/o?

Re: fabtech lift

OK, I'm curious, why get the Fabtech for more money than the Pro Comp? The Pro Comp with coilovers is about as much as the Fabtech without. If you went with the PC lift from PRG and then got the DR coilovers probably for the same cost as the Fabtech with Coilovers that would be an awesome lift.

Both are good lifts, I'm just curious?

Is that les swab guy trying to talk you into it???

Re: fabtech lift

i paid $1200 for my fabtech box kit and i payed $700 for the coilovers so i payed less than $2400 for my whole set up with custom rear springs and piggy back rear shocks you can find a better deal out there

Re: fabtech lift

I like my PC lift a lot and would recommend it to anyone, just get the DR's from Greg (PRG). But if you have your mind set on Fabtech which is a good set-up too, do your homework. I think Mr. Les Swab might be over pricing his lift. Look around, I've seen the basic Fatech lift for $1200.00 and $1900.00 with coilovers from some of our TT sponsors here. I got my PC lift installed for another $500.00.

Good Luck to you but shop around!

Re: fabtech lift

Call Ben @ Core Motorsports @ Lake Elsinore. He has very good pricing for lift kits and other items. Getting my truck tricked out on Tuesday. Prices in Las Vegas is double to triple to what the Cali guys pay. That is why I'm making the 3 hour trek to Ben's shop.

Re: fabtech lift

A while back, I went to a local shop, and got quoted a little under $1800 for the Fab Tech kit, upgraded shocks, install, and Tax so definatly look around.

Re: fabtech lift

i'm in tn but i got prices from everywhere within 100 miles and my local matched whatever i found including the net. i agree with the other guys, you need to shop around a compare. i found some good prices on the lift from the net if you have somebody to put it on. alot of people won't do it unless you get it from them. i paid bout 1200 for my fabtech lift, 480 for my wheels,550 for my tires, and 350 to have it all installed. thats bout 2800 after tax and all.

Re: fabtech lift

I would hope that was installed too. I had a shop try to quote me piece by piece and they ended up with a huge # like that. Needless to say they didnt get my business. Also from my understanding the fabtech is the worst riding kit on the market for the titan and most difficult to install

like i said 350.00 install, 480.00 for helo maxx wheels and 550.00 for bf gr at 315's, not to mention i paid almost 300.00 in taxes. that was the best price around here. i dropped the it off bout 8:00 am and left the shop around 6:30 pm and they had to finish a jeep before mine got started and it bolts on, so unlike my other truck, nothing got cut or welded and this was the first titan these guys have lifted in the area. i have to say that I can't tell a difference in the ride now either.

You sure nuttin' got cut on your fabtech??? I will have to disagree with you unless they changed the kit. The kit we have on our '04 has plently of cutting! It will never be able to go back stock. The ride is nice though, after we added deaver spring upgrade from Greg!

Re: fabtech lift

it bolted on to my knowledge, but it could have used just a little cutting cause if i turn hard sometimes is scrubs. fabtechs site lists the kit for 04 but if i'm not mistaken, its the same for 05, but they also say no cutting. follow the link and click on the performance kit.
