Just wondering is the Dr's plus rear blocks would provide a small lift with no rake. I am thinking of Dr's extended to the full 3" and a block kit in the rear.
Not sure if I should choose 1" or 1.5" for the rear blocks on a 4WD.
A few weeks ago I installed the DR's cranked to 2.75" of lift. Along with that I installed Deavers and a 2" block. The rear is riding a bit high. I guess TC arms will be a perfect add-on.
BTW, the DR's come set at 2". I had to turn mine 7 full turns each to get the extra 3/4" height. Anyone else have a similar result?
Okay...this is all heresay because I'm poor but...
First: Cranking the Deavers to max height (about 3" of lift by most accounts) makes the ride suffer. 2" appears to be optimum for the best ride.
Second: Go with Deavers and Bilsteins in the rear for the best ride and a mild lift.

it's a fact the ride suffers a bit.I did my 2 inch rear deavers that lifted 3 inches but the rear sagged from the get go. Greg cranked up the fronts another inch or lil more (those were actually cranked down), it was fine. I did 6 turns to get a little bit more and I was feeling car sick. I was bouncing like a Jeep Wrangler. cranked it down 4 turns and i'm fine.
This is street ride not offroad.

So correct me if I am wrong...installing the stock DR's (set to 2") is basically the same height as the stock Rancho's with a PRG leveling kit, no? That then = no lift over and above being level with the PRG kit.
Deavers in the rear would lift the rear but then the overall stance would have forward rake...
Sounds like the only options for a mild lift w/ no rake is the pro comp or Rancho lift kit.

Yeah...the point of the DRs is more that they kick *** over stock...they don't give you much height...more about performance. If you wanted it even taller up front you could go with TC arms....

If you buy the DR's from Greg at PRG he supplies a 1" spacer that goes on top of the DR assembly for his 4" kit. The ride is great with the factory setting of 2" lift with the spacer on top. This way you don't have to crank up the DR's and they won't ride like crap.

If you mean the kit itself, most of the individual parts are on the PRG site - follow the link in my sig. (a couple of posts back), and click on suspension. [I believe the kit includes: DRE coilovers, (PRG 1" custom spacer for the top of the DREs, not shown), Total Chaos upper a-arms, PRG/Deaver overload spring upgrade, PRG/Bilstein rear shocks].

Does anyone run with this combo?
I have the DR's (2" std) and the 1" Spacer for 3". It was fairly level with the stock rear shocks...when I added the Deavers / Bilsteins it raised the rear Rake another 2" So I guess the the 1.5" Block would give you pretty much the same thing (look). I would be carefull about extending it too much because of ride issues.
