Need Lowering Help

I have always lifted trucks, and the Titan is my first lowering. Need some advice. Any one ever heard of "McGaughy's" lowering kit for the Titan. Apparently the Street Beat lift is no longer made, but the McGaughy's lift is still being sold through them, and for $300 cheaper. I am in Iraq right now, and it's hard to ask around myself. Any help or feedback would be great.

Re: Need Lowering Help

Seeing that you are in Iraq, I want to thank you. Any Real American will do the same.. That being said, don't lower the truck ..... Get a decent lift.... A friend lowered his, and it takes out the "cool" factor. If you do lower, post pics, maybe my friend just screwed his up...

Re: Need Lowering Help

Well, thanks for the support...second year over here though, and can't wait to cheer some from the sidelines a bit. I'm a firm believer in the 4WD lifted, and 2WD Lowered. I have an 88 Jeep Wrangler with 7" of lift, 35"s, and a 350ci. So, I'm ready to try the sport truck angle. Plus, I'm opening my own shop someday, and have to have knowledge in both areas. Only way I can learn is to do it. But trust me, if it looks stupid, it's coming off. Thanks for your input. Anyone else with reviews or info, please send.

Re: Need Lowering Help

Schweet, I also have a YJ running on about 6" of lift, and 33's. Those things are fun. I guess there isn't anything wrong with low 'n fast....

Check out the PRG lowering kit. The highest quality available. Click on the link in my sig. to get to his on-line store. Oh, look under "Performance Packages", not under "lowered". They just updated their website and must have overlooked this.

BTW, if you change your mind about lifting your 2wd, check out the 4" lift spindles - this is the best way to lift a truck but is only available on the 2wd Titans, [they do carry other lifts such as his Performance 4" for us 4x4 owners].

Good luck to you, and thanks for serving our country.

Re: Need Lowering Help

Thanks Swarren, I checked out that sight. But to be honest, you were late, and I have already ordered the McGaughy's...I do have a question if you or anyone else might know though. On the StreetBeat kit, it was a 2/4 drop, and the McGaughy's is a 2/3...I love the leveled look of the StreetBeat drop, and was worried I might not get the same look from the McGaughy's. You think it would hurt to order a pair of the PRG heavy duty shackles? It says they lower the rear 3/4", and I would think that would set me level...Thanks again, and It's an honor serving by the way. Plus it gives me money for my toys!!!

Re: Need Lowering Help

You could always see how you like the McGaughy's, and if too much rake, order the lowering shackle later. Seems like it would be an easy add on.
