Street Ride too harsh on 305/45/22's. Need Smoother Shock Advice

The roads I travel to and from work are very rough - filled potholes, etc. I put these 305/45/22's the same day I bought my Titan so I never had a chance to compare to the stock wheels.

I have only leveled the front. That's it. I'm not going the lifting route. And I only go offroad when I have to drive off the road to get around some doofus turning left and holding up traffic!

I really need a smoother ride in a big way.

Considering the criteria above, what would be the best shock and/or leaf upgrade. I was considering the PRG Deaver/Bilsten option for the rear but it seems to be a great improvement IF your towing or offroading. Will it do much for strictly road driving, or would a different 4-shock replacement be better for my particular situation.

Thanks for any advice you have.

Heres an idea for improving the ride, put some RUBBER back inbetween the road and the wheels!!! why do you think we went away from the ol' wooden wagon wheels anyways?? (22's look like modern wagon wheels to me!) Rubber, filled with air does WONDERS when it comes to absorbing bumps... 33/12.5/R17's running at about 25 to 30 PSI would suck it all up!!! Oh, and get you some MPG's back too!!

I think the stiff ride is a consequence that you may have to live with, its all part of the pro's (other than looks, not sure if there are any) and cons (rough ride being one, along with lower MPG's) of going with the "Bling - Bling" look...

DR and 5100s greatly improve the ride on and off road.

My truck is set up to take 2 whoops at freeway speeds in the dirt but on the street it rides like a caddy.

First of all - Yes, putting back some (if not all) of the original rubber would help smooth out the ride. But the 22's look so 'damn sexy' I hate to go back.

Anyone else in my situation (22's) that have made a change for the better - shock wise? Pretty much everyone goes to the church of PRG right? If that's the way I go (PRG leafs, Bilstein 5100s) , anything I can do for the front?

if your looking to replace the front struts i had the rancho replacements(9000 x) and i was very happy with the ride...they have the 9 way adjustability...also im running the rear rancho 9000's and really happy with them....also i found out that the tite brand makes a huge difference...i was originally running kuhmos and they road crappy...i switched to the nitto 420 extremes and it rides great now....

I have Khumos too - that explains alot! Thanks for the advice. I Really appreciate it. I'm saving this thread for when I have to replace the tires I have now.
