2.5" deavers+1"block Vs. 1.5"deavers+2"block?

Hi guys, I currently have a 2" rancho block on the rear of my truck, I also have in the garage a prg 1" rear billet block.

I want about 3.5" of lift in the rear, so I can use either block and deaver in combo to achive this height.

Anyone tried both deavers before? I like the idea or better load capacity of the 2.5" deavers, but the stiffer ride makes me wanna think twice.

I can go with the 2.5" deavers and 1" block for a 3.5" lift
or the 1.5" deavers with 2" block for the same 3.5" lift

I could also go with the 2" block and 2.5" deavers for 4.5" this would be the best, but my rancho RSX9000 shocks might not be long enoughf for them and I would hate to spend $200 extra on new longer shocks...

What do you guys think?

The deaver are way better in the dirt and ride alot better on the street. A block will also make axlewrap worse so I recommend no block if you can get the lift you want with just a spring.

This is a bit off topic but for either configuration won't you also need the carrier bearing drop down bracket?

I need atleast a 3" lift in the rear because I will be adding new coilovers in front and I need and extra 1" of height in the rear to level it out... I currently like the way the rear handles with the 2" block and the rancho rsx9000 shocks, so I would like to get about 3" of lift the cheapest way posible, Im way out of my limits now...

I have the 1.5" deavers and prg made me a set of 2" billet off set blocks (to center the rear end in the opening) and the bilsteins.... this works great for me.....

Re: 2.5" deavers+1"block Vs. 1.5"deavers+2"block?

From PRG site it says that the 2.5" deavers have better load capacity and a firmer ride and since I do carry load in the bed very often this might be my choice...

Or maybe I can just have greg fab a billet 3.5" block for the rear and keep the stock overload leaf and great load capacity...

I put the Deavers on and kept Greg's 1.5" rear blocks. It rides great, I'm actually more impressed with the Bilsteins and Deavers than I am with the DRs up front. It's firm, but sweet.

Maybe I could get the 2.5" deavers and use my PRG 1" block for a total of 3.5" of lift, then down the road if I decide to get more lift, I coul exchange the 1" block for the 2" block and get the right lenght Bilsteins for a 4.5" lift...

I have the 2.5" deavers and a fabtech 2" block and it rides great. If you want 4.5" in the back then I would recommend this set up over a larger block.

Re: 2.5" deavers+1"block Vs. 1.5"deavers+2"block?

Speaking of PRG, I ordered the mini-kit over a week ago from Greg...anyone know what the usual delivery time is on those? I thought I would have had it at the end of last week, but it's still not here.

Sorry, that's off topic I know...I'll try to post some before n afters when I do get the lift on.

FtWtitan, your kit was shipped a couple days late, no ones fault but mine. You should have it tomorrow though. I have sent you a pm with the T/N.

Greg, can you help us here with the pros and cons of each of the deaver springs?
