Rear Springs squeaks

When I take off or turn sharply or hit bumps I notice my rear suspension squeaks. Infact, when it's shut off i can push on the side of the truck and hear the same thing. Anyone else with this problem? Any ways to fix it other than turn the stereo up? What do those $22 helper springs do?

If the squeek is from the rear springs..

Wax coated inserts have been around since the 1920's to solve the age old problem of squeeking springs..(it's not the Titans fault!). Put the truck on a rack where the springs can be spread out, insert the inserts...problem solved.

Re: Rear Springs squeaks

Maybe its your rubber bushings for the leaf springs

Re: Rear Springs squeaks

Mine squeek on an 06 with 3100 miles on it.
I had it in for an oil change and I mentioned it. They said it was the dust boot on the rear shocks. I am going to take my own look as soon as I get a helper to rock the rear bumper. Whatever the dealer did to address the squeek didn't fix anything.

Re: Rear Springs squeaks

If it has leaf springs, it will eventually squeak. Get some teflon based (PTFE) spray lubricatant from your local auto parts store. "Fabulous Blaster" is one brand that I have used. Take an old towel and soak the springs between each leaf then wipe off the excess with towel. The teflon based lube will dry and will not attract as much dirt. My personal experience is, one treatment lasts about 3-4 months. but I'm sure your enviroment (wet VS dry) will play a factor in how long you can go between lubing. The helper springs, only make more noise. The helpers have a retention strap that goes over top of the leaf pack. That bracket makes a racket over small bumps. I had a Dodge before the Titan and it had the same squeaks

Re: Rear Springs squeaks

I have the same problem. It's really annoying...and embarassing at the same time! I'm taking the truck in for service this week and will let them tackle it.
