My 05 CC 4x4 has a front sway bar from the factory, but none on the back What is the best sway bar setup for all around handling? And is the factory front sufficient if I add just a rear. I know hellwig and stillen both make swaybars for the Titan. Does anyone else,? And for those who have tried swaybar combinations - what works for you - where to buy - and how much should I expect to spend. Also - are they cost effective for the difference that they make on our trucks?

Both Stillen and Hellwig make one. I have the Hellwig and it really made a difference.

How do those sway bars affect off road performance? Are they pretty much a street truck mod? I'm not talking crazy rock crawling or anything, just some trails and mudholes and whatnot.

I second that (with my limited knowledge base). I had greg remove my front bar after installing the Radflos up front, and i notice NO difference in street handling. the truck goes right where i want her to go.
The addition of the rear sway bar had a very noticable positive effect on the handling of my truck. I could go faster and deeper into turns without any problem.

If you have an adjustable coil-over with a stiffer spring rate on your truck such as the Donahoe's, Sway-a-ways, Radflos or Fox shocks then you might find that no sway bar is more comfortable. In fact my own truck does not have any sway bar at all. I get a good amount of body roll but I think it's fun and my main reason for doing it is because of the long-travel suspension capabilities. If I had a front sway bar then it would limit my travel. If I didn't do the CST long-travel kit then I would definitely have a Stillen front sway bar on the truck
However, if you are running factory front struts then the addition of a larger front sway bar is a huge help. I've driven the black test Titan that we have here and I absolutely love the way it handles. Just point and shoot, the truck sticks to the road and flies through any corner.
As far as rear sway bars. They help whether you have coil-overs w/no front sway bar or factory struts with upgraded front sway bar. The reason I like our Stillen sway bar is because we bolt directly through the frame instead of clamping around it. Not taking anything away from Helwig they build a good part. we do carry their parts and install their bars on various vehicles, however if you set our kit down next to theirs the answer will be clear which one offers more support.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The only difference is going to be the end-links that mount the bar to the frame. You might need to shorten them in order to make them fit properly. Other than that it should be just fine. We make extended length links for the different lift kits that are available but I don't think we have any plans to make shorter links for lowering kits.
