Front lift coils

I recently purchased 2.5" front lift coils for my 04 Titan and have heard about the problems with the shocks being over extended with lifts over 2".

Anyone have suggestions for replacements shocks for this application? More importantly, anyone know of any problems with installing coils versus spacers?

By the way, first time user of this forum. Think it's great, just wish I knew about it awhile ago.

Re: Front lift coils

Those coils will blow your shocks and trash your balljoints.

Re: Front lift coils

are those the ones you get from 4x4 parts.com? I wish I could use those and my 2" PRG spacer for lift and maybe some new longer shocks to go along with them.

Re: Front lift coils

Its not the shocks, its that fact that the upper a-arm will only allow so much lift before the suspension stops moving. Using a different upper a-arm will help a bit, but just stacking lifts is a bad way to go. You have a nearly new truck that you just spent thousands on (or at least owe thousands on) mod it properly and it will last many, many miles and hold its value.
