squeaky front end?

This past weekend I was doing some trail rideing on some pretty nasty trails in North Central Georgia. I had the windows down and the front end had then rubbing sound through the full range of the suspension travel. I have never heard this before. I figured it needed to be greased or somthing but I can't find any grease zerks on this truck. The truck has just over 15,000 miles so teh shock and front end components should be okay. It's really bothersome hearing that noise that sounds like a worn out truck. Any ideas what it could be? I can't duplicate the noise out on the street or the sissy trails around where I live.

Re: squeaky front end?

There are no grease fitting on the truck, all sealed. The noise is probably the rubber bushings and seals just working hard as the suspension is working hard. just my 2 cents

Re: squeaky front end?

Does it only squeek when you are on the rough roads or all the time? Do you have a leveling kit installed? Those stock shocks have been known to blow early under rough conditions.....

Re: squeaky front end?

All stock suspension, no leveling kit.

The trails weren't that bad and the suspension was not at full travel by no means. It was hard packed clay with wash outs and some rocks and I never used 4wd. It was the first time I heard the noise. I was thinking it could be from lack of use of the suspension. That was the first time I took the truck on a rough trail ride and it wasn't to bad to be honest. Maybe just needs more use of the suspension.
