OK, i just bought a titan a few days ago, and now its time for the lift. Is there any large advantage of the CST 7" over the procomp 6" for the extra money it will cost.
And as i understand with the procomp i can use all stock shocks, but with CST i need to purchase extra parts as well.
Sorry if its a stupid question, i read everything here and still dont know.
they are both great kits. The only thing "extra" to buy with the CST kit is a set of rear shocks, the PC kit comes with rear shocks (worth about $50 if you were to add these to a CST kit). The CST kit requires cutting and welding where the pc kit doesnt. The CST kit provides a very nice swaybar end link where the pc kit is urethane mounted part (a step down from factory). Some ebay sites claim the CST kit can go back to stock, not without some welding and fab work. The CST kit includes an aluminum skid plate and uses 4" (instead of 3") rear blocks. The CST front will sit about 1" taller than the PC. you will loose a bit of turning radius with either kit but unless you grind the steering stops on the pc kit it will be an excessive loss. both can be upgraded later too.
I agree, my turning radius with my PC 6" is abolutely terrible. My wife refuses to drive the truck due to that alone. It is an '06 Crew Cab 4wd for reference.
Also, I have KMC Hoss 18" wheels on 35" Procomp AT Extremes and the 6" lift does not appear to be lifted 6". So, I would say that if you want your truck to look lifted like most other vehicles do with a 6" lift, than go with the 7" or 8" (I wish I would have). Hope that helps!
CST is including sway bar end links now? instead of a metal tube to cut and lengthen the stock end links? that kinda sucks. wish i would have gotten that with my kit if thats what they are doing. of course i kinda like the prg links...
I sell sell the PC with the stops ground. as for the CST end links, we have them for $75 a set. You can make a pc kit taller than any other "stock" kit by just adding the proper coilovers. all current kits except the fabtech kit are a bit shy of thier claimed numbers (although the rancho kit is actually and inch TALLER than claimed). And the FT kit has its share of issues.

The prg links are from cst.

So which kit would you recommend, for occasional off road use. But i do tow vehicles alot.
I love my cst lift. I wouldn't put anything else on my truck. After all the research I decided to do the best. I especially like the looks of it when you look at the sub frame from the front. Better looking then any other lift I have had, and I've had a few lifts, RCD(ford), Fabtech(toyota), Rancho(ford), Procomp(toyota), and CST(nissan).

Ill agree with aqua. but take my word with some salt. this is my first true lift but I feel that what you get for the money is worth it. the subframe alone looks nice. additionally it comes with new UCAs although they could be upgraded. I was told cst has the best carrier bearing drop bracket, while producing a ride that is like stock. yes you'd neednew rear shocks, but for a true improvement in ride all shocks should be upgraded anyway.
Question: Can you keep(if you already have) a 1.25" block with the Procomp Stage 1 shocks and a 2.5 Deaver Spring Helper? This set-up not using the ProComp's 3" blocks.
