Re: Got Fabtech Lift Kit

A few simple upgrades will save you time and offer a much better system. Buy braided brakelines to replace your factory ones. The Fabtech method of stretching the stock metal lines is lame. Second, get a 3 or 4" block instead of the add-a-leaf and 2" block. The leaf isn't even the right spring material for our trucks, its as if they needed to get rid of a pile of them and incluse them with that kit. also, with the heavy add-a-leaf many people have broken the rear shackle. Grind the steering stops. Upgrade the rear (and front) shocks later.

Re: Got Fabtech Lift Kit

Another QUICK QUESTION! I am getting ready to pick up a suspension kit very soon . . . but in the down time have ordered the PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES 3" Body Lift Kit / I have an XE (which PE now says will fit) My question is in the cutting of the lower radiator support that it says is required on the PE website. Has anyone done this before? Are we talking about tin snips to fold some metal back or are we talking about using a plasma cutter and a welder to re-create a new radiator support? ANY HELP? Thanks in Advance !
