Difference between pc carrier bearing drop bracket and CST bracket

Anyone know the difference between pc carrier bearing drop bracket and CST bracket? ANyone got pics of differences and instructions of both installs to compare? Greg tells me the CST is easier to install but both do the same job...He also says the the CST is more expensive... Any pics or info?

Re: Difference between pc carrier bearing drop bracket and CST bracket

I will post pics on monday when i get back to the office. THe pc kit (fabtech looks just like it also) is about $40, the CST is $150. You need to cut the cross member on either set-up, but the cst one just drops onto the stock studs where the others require you to physically cut a factory stud at an angle and then drill a couple holes through the cross memeber then just installing the braket is a pain. The end results are the same though.

Re: Difference between pc carrier bearing drop bracket and CST bracket

I just did the CST drop bracket today and it took all of 10 minutes. Just cut the old piece out and install the new one. Greg (PRG) told me the CST is more expensive but much easier to install and it really was a piece of cake.

Use a saws-all with a long metal blade and just cut out the old support bracket. Two cuts about 4 inches each.
