I'm considering the CST 8" lift. For the guys who have it how do yall like it? And what do yall think about 24"s in 37"s. thanks
I like mt CST kit. rides well especially coupled with he right shocks. as far as 24s in 37s....you'd have to get new fenders and total chaos arms to get the 37s in...plus you'd have pretty bad acceleration unless you get custom gears. don't get 24s....it would look really odd. 22s are the biggest you should get when lifting
ya. i did a little research on the net and 22"s will be just fine with the off road tires. 24"s would be a bit much but look cool on a show truck. thnks
20's with 37 looks sweet. 22's you don't get much of a side wall. However. With the std. CST kit forget about running 37's. Hell 35's will rub your fenders liner right off. I know some people are gonna blast but i do not care. My turck with the std. CST kit rubbed like a mother on 35's. Problem was fixed with coil-overs.

Agreed...i had rubbing issues...had to trim the fenders...went completely away with coilovers
that being said, Donahoes, Sway-a-ways and Radflos are good coilovers. I've only HEARD that Fox shocks tend to have broken bolts, and the spring sags. I just recently got into trucks, so I'm learning a lot. If someone has foxes, feel free to chime in.
Rears, you can go with the Radflos or the Bilsteins PRG sells.
do yall recommend the fox coilovers on 35's. and what about shocks. someone said that you get a much better ride with upgraded shocks in the back?
IMO:
When you start looking at shocks it all depends on how much you want to spend. I went with a racho set-up but was not happy. So it just comes down to $$. I say try and do as much homework as you can before going with one set-up. This is just not something you want to correct later.

Radflo will work best with a CST kit.
SAWs are only for non bracket lift trucks with a chaos arm
DRs are only for non bracket trucks with or without a chaos arm

Its a truck with bigger shocks and stuff.
The guys are right that 37s won't fit without new fenders. Also you need to invest in bigger brakes. My setup was over 140 pounds a wheel and you could tell when stopping and going. now new brakes it's a HUGE difference. I can tailgate the idiots who cut me off

ya a lot of guys say that. but i did some research and if you have more rim less rubber your truck will weigh less and not completely kill mpg. think about it like this. if you have more wheel you have less rubber. rubber is very heavy by itself plus all of the extra air you need to fill up that extra 2" of space. take that to all 4 wheels and it will save you some weight.
EDIT: can i run a 22" x 10" in a 35" tire with the basic cst 7" set up or will i need to upgrade my coilovers and a arms?
