ive done my searching but cant find a clear answer. can i use the stock 18" wheels with procomps 6" lift and their 35" xtreme at tire which is 34.8 tall and 12.8" wide? i know people dont have problems with the bfg mt but this tire is a bit wider. will it rub the spindle? thats my only concern, bending back the pinch weld is np. anyone run a tire around this size such as toyos 35? mahalos

Make sure you get the 35x12.5x18 not the 325/65/18. The 325 is 13.5 wide. You might want to look into the kuhmo mudds, they look awesome and I know for sure they fit with the stock wheels. The stock wheels keep the tires closer to the truck. The rims with backspacing that pushes the wheels out the side of the truck are what cause rubbing. For the kuhmos hit up SDTitan1, he has that setup on his truck.

rgr, the 12.5" wide is what fits my 8" wide wheel, just was worried that the stock backspacing will cause the tire to rub on the procomp spindle. ill check for SDTitan1 thread, thanks

ok im back to wanting to get the procomp extreme tires, anyone with a procomp life and stock wheels with a tire with actual dimensions around 34.8 tall and 12.8 wide please chime in if they clear the spindle or not, thanks

It will probably fit with that lift but there are large variables, primarily the backspacing of the wheel. You may have to trim the fender liner and/or cut the pinch weld with the wider tire. I run Toyo 35s which are really like 13-13.5 with only 4 inches of lift but I cut the pinch weld, removed the liner and have glass fenders.
My best guess is that it will fit with very minor rub at full oick with no trimming and no rub with minor fitting, but its only a guess.

Its a truck with bigger shocks and stuff.
The only spindles that have a clearance issue are the CST becasue they use a straight tube to make the spindle. All the cast spindles (stock, pc, ft, rancho) should clear that tire.

Hey prerunnerGreg. I want to make sure Im understanding you right? The only lift that you would need to run spacers with the stock wheel is the CST. If you get any other you dont need a spacer?
i have the same setup that you are talking about. i have the Pro Comp lift with stock rims and PC Xtreme at tires 35 x 12.5. i have absolutely no rubbing issues on the spindle with this setup. i also have the radflo's from PRG, but that would not make any diff. with the tires rubbing the spindle. hope this helps.

I have the Toyo 35's which are bigger than the procomp's on a 6" PC lift (w/ RadFlo's) and have no problem until recently when I lowered the RadFlo's to about 1/2" of thread showing (needed more travel and wanted softer ride) and I will hit when I turn at around a 45 degree angle hitting a 1 foot or larger "mound". I don't have the stock 18's but my offset is 10
